who did you want to be

who did you want to be as a child.. do you think it effected the way you developed as a teenager and do you think any effect is still apparent in yourself now as an adult... just a thought.

i always wanted to be indiana jones.. but appart from rolling under the occasional slowly closings garage door and the odd adventure into the wilderness to find some treasure which would just end up being a pile of yellowy brown leaves in a shoe box.. i dont think its had any lasting effects...

...accept for the unnatural urge to wear a stetsen and use a bull whip.

 

As a child, I always wanted to be like Bette Davis or Janis Joplin. I've always wanted to act or sing professionally. I have no talent for either, however. At least, not in my own eyes. The only lasting effect of wanting to be either is my larger than normal collection of Bette Davis movies and Janis Joplin songs.
Oh yea! And because of that, I've been in musicals and plays through my life. I've even had a lead role. I'd still like to be an actress, if I only had the talent.

i always wanted to be a killer whale. i have been a strict veggie for over ten years now, so i dont think it affected me atall.

i wanted to be Dick Van Dyke for about 12 years, since watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when i was 5. I also wanted to be a train driver (doesn't most little boys?) and i wanted to fly concorde!!!

I always wanted to be a train driver or a pilot aswell, with Astronought and even bus driver coming in aswell. Naturally everyone thought it was odd as none of them were things little girls usually want to do, that and having a train set and model plane and bus collection rarther than dolls and things
Now I'm at University doing Environmental Science, so my earlier goals have had little affect, and I'll be honest I don't know know what I want to become. Then again, I'm a Tram and Trolleybus conductor at a local transport museum and am thinking of helping out at one of the local railways, so my earlier ambitions must be having some effect still

 

I always wanted to be Ulysses from the French/Japanese Sci-Fi cartoon, "Ulysses 31" .. (remember that, kids?)
