im not talking comic book heroes (but you can include them if you want) im talking ppl you have read about, listened to, and generally standout in your mind as great ppl that influenced you here is my list Jim Morrison Bill Hicks Friedrich Nietzsche Thích Quảng Đức Søren Kierkegaard Sascha Konietzko Otep Shamaya Jesus (the man with ideas, not the god) and finally Che Guevara
Jesus. If we all molded ourselves to his image, we'd have peace like most of us claim to want. It's funny...everyone with their peace signs....hahahaha
or we could molded ourselfs after buddha who was about real tranquility, happiness and not after your 'savior lord jesus christ' "worship me or goto hell!"
Actually Jesus of Nazereth was a very kind man. He was not ever like "worship me or go to hell!", he loved all things and people, he was very buddha-esc
not origionally, you dont see jews going crazy like that, to begin with christianity was persicuted and really full of love. then the romans came into the picture and made it their own, and we all know what the romans were all about dont we?: world domination; hence the "worship my god or die" mentality of modern day christianity, and all fundamentalist christians that ive met on the road called life (and ive met alot, my dad was a penticostal preacher not too long ago, so i know what im talking about) jesus must be spinning in heaven right now(hehe) none of this is what he wanted
Why? I mean what did he do to earn your respect? Don't get me wrong I think he could have been a great president but he really didn't do much before he was killed. I mean you could say that he was a friend to minorities because he had a prominent role in the creation of the Civil Rights Act, but that wasn't passed until after he had left office. Even that would only tell half the story though. JFK had a big plan for urban renewal, but there was one problem, when he wiped out the slums, he never replaced them. Anyway, now that I'm done with that, I think a short list for me would include in no particular order: FDR (more for his wartime leadership than the New Deal programs) Winston Churchill (again with the wartime leadership) Jesus Buddha Aaron Ralston
well mostly for the plans he had before the CIA killed him. and he had compassion for all men, and i find that can truly make a great man
Heros...hmmm My Dad, i'm gunna have to say it, i respect him so much. Hugo Chavez - He is doing A LOT for his country right now. ... I dunno i'm having a really hard time thinking of people now...
jesus, siddhartha, mary (blessed mother), jerry garcia, tim leary etc. ALL of these people were pot heads by the way. Yeah- to all the christians who are anti-weed...they dont realize that their religion was BASED around marijuana. Christ was a title applied to anyone (usually kings or religious priests) who was fortunate enough to be drenched in holy oil (which contained around 16 pounds of cannabis buds!!). Jesus was drenched himself in the oil, claiming that this "baptism" changed his life. Jesus went against the old testament/ common jewish teachings which reserved this holy oil to only kings and religious leaders, and allowed for all to experience the sacrad cannabis oil which had brought him so much knowledge. Jesus and his diciples used this sacred oil to heal people, and the followers of jesus were called christians (ones who had been blessed by the holy oil [containing cannabis]). What im tryna get at is if you're a pothead you should LOVE jesus, and if you LOVE jesus you should be a pothead!
Lol I'd really like to see the facts you have about "holy oil" containing marijuana. I definetly don't love Jesus. I respect what he used to be, but he is dead and did not rise again and should not be worshiped, IMO.
