I'm not big into conspiracies ,but I've heard 'the illuminati' brought up quite a few times. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the free masons and the dollar bill. Can anyone fill me in?
The Illuminati were a secret society, created in the 1700s, to bring about the end of western capitalisim and democracy. They wanted to control governments and thus be able to control the people. The society pittered out and died, but nowadays whenever someone wants to blame a shadow government, they blame the illuminati.
Eugene, how do you know it pittered out and died, what evidence makes you think this, there are 13 families who own the central banks and thus control our world, including the Rothschilds. Peace and Love, Dan
Don't get me wrong. I think most of the western world is an oligarchy now, but i still have a hard time believeing that the most powerful men in the country get together to drink and wear funny hats while chanting nonsensical rituals. I think they just have more important things to do, plus having a secret society is dangerous seeing as that everyone else there is a wealthy prick like you and has prolly done worse thing than you have to get where they are.
The Illuminati do not exist. You're all perfectly safe. I repeat, they do NOT exist. Don't try to find out anything about them. This thread is obsolete, there is NO THREAT at all. The Illuminati are simply thought up by um, Canada so as to um, well, they do not exist. Yeah. It's just some farfetched fairytale. So move on to another subject now, thank you. That's right. Always remember, there's nothing to be worried about.
By the way dude, nice pendant. Death was a great band. But remember: there is NO SUCH THING as the Illuminati.
The illuminati is a mythical secret cabal that supposedly runs the world. Weak-minded people who don't understand international politics or critical thinking often blame the illuminati bogeyman for all of the world's problems.
Read "Angel and Demons" by Dan Brown. Prequel to the Da Vinci Code, deals with the Illuminati. I'm not sure how historically accurate the book is, but it's a good read none the less. Alex
A lot of people seem to have difficulty with the term “Illuminati.” The Illuminati are also often referred to as globalists, or the global-elite, who are basically the ones at the top pulling the strings. They consist of world bankers, media moguls, multinational CEO’s, top government officials, etc.. Many people think that American policy -- domestic and foreign -- is dictated by George Bush and the White House. This could not be further from the truth. In reality, it is the global-elite who dictate policy, who dictate to the White House and Pentagon, who dictate to us though the controlled media, which is also owned by the very same elites. Many of these globalist entities operate through organizations such as the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderberger group; all which serve as fronts that seek to centralize government and economy. Anybody who thinks this is a conspiracy theory should try to educate themselves before they mindlessly criticise others over something they have not researched themselves. The goal of the global-elite is a one-world government, or New World Order. The way this one-world government will be ushered in is through terrorism, war and manufactured destruction of the economy. The elites have long been using problem-reaction-solution to push their agenda, especially when it comes to terrorism. What people don’t understand is that many of the so-called terrorists we are after now, were funded by the US, including al-Qaeda, which in my opinion is little more than a CIA front, as bin Laden is a CIA/globalist asset. So now you might be asking yourselves, “Well, how do you know they want a one-world government?" Because many of these elites have stated time and time again their desire for a centralized one-world government and currency, ranging from Henry Kissinger to David Rockefeller. (Both have also expressed their fondness of eugenics and population control as well.) We then look at globalization and see how it’s evolving. The elites don’t care about the national sovereignty, which they actively seek to destroy through treaties in the name of free-trade. We see this wide-scale globalization throughout the world in such entities and treaties as the European Union (EU) and NAFTA. What many people don’t realize is that there is plans for a Pan-American Union a well, which will merge the US with Canada and Mexico. Just read some of these quotes: "Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order [referring to the 1991 LA Riot]. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or *promulgated* [emphasis mine], that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this *scenario*, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government." Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991 "We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the work is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries." David Rockefeller, founder of the Trilateral Commission, in an address to a meeting of The Trilateral Commission, in June, 1991. "The Trilateral Commission is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States. The Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power political, monetary, intellectual and ecclesiastical. What the Trilateral Commission intends is to create a worldwide economic power superior to the political governments of the nationstates involved. As managers and creators of the system, they will rule the future." U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater in his l964 book: With No Apologies. "The Council on Foreign Relations is "the establishment." Not only does it have influence and power in key decision-making positions at the highest levels of government to apply pressure from above, but it also announces and uses individuals and groups to bring pressure from below, to justify the high level decisions for converting the U.S. from a sovereign Constitutional Republic into a servile member state of a one-world dictatorship." Former Congressman John Rarick 1971 "The New World Order will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down...but in the end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece will accomplish much more than the old fashioned frontal assault." CFR member Richard Gardner, writing in the April l974 issue of the CFR's journal, Foreign Affairs "The depression was the calculated 'shearing' of the public by the World Money powers, triggered by the planned sudden shortage of supply of call money in the New York money market....The One World Government leaders and their ever close bankers have now acquired full control of the money and credit machinery of the U.S. via the creation of the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank." Curtis Dall, FDR's son-in-law as quoted in his book, My Exploited Father-in-Law "We shall have world government whether or not you like it, by conquest or consent." Statement by Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member James Warburg to The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on February 17th, l950 "In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. National sovereignty wasn't such a great idea after all." Strobe Talbot, President Clinton's Deputy Secretary of State, as quoted in Time, July 20th, l992. "....This regionalization is in keeping with the Tri-Lateral Plan which calls for a gradual convergence of East and West, ultimately leading toward the goal of "one world government'....National sovereignty is no longer a viable concept..." Zbigniew Brzezinski, National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter. "NAFTA is a major stepping stone to the New World Order." Henry Kissinger when campaigning for the passage of NAFTA "Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed." Sara Brady, Chairman, Handgun Control, to Sen. Howard Metzenbaum, The National Educator, January 1994, Page "But this present window of opportunity, during which a truly peaceful and interdependent world order might be built, will not be open for long. Already there are powerful forces at work that threaten to destroy all of our hopes and efforts to erect an enduring structure of global interdependence." David Rockefeller, speaking at the Business Council for the United Nations, September 14, 1994. ". . . There is no such thing in America as an independent press . . . We are the tools and vassals for rich men behind the scenes . . . Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes." John Swinton, former New York Times Chief of Staff "The New World Order is a world that has a supernational authority to regulate world commerce and industry; an international organization that would control the production and consumption of oil; an international currency that would replace the dollar; a World Development Fund that would make funds available to free and Communist nations alike; and an international police force to enforce the edicts of the New World Order." Former West German Chancellor, Willy Brandt, former chairman of the Fifth-Socialist International, who chaired the Brandt Commission in the late 1980s.
If anyone wants to get a better idea of what the New World Order is, and what its agenda is, check out this 30 min. presentation video by Dr. Michel Chossudovsky, Professor of Economics at the University of Ottawa, and expert on globalization and the New World Order. http://www.freedomfiles.org/movies/choss92503windows.wmv This doesn't apply to "weak-minded" inside-the-box thinking sheeple like Kandahar, who believe that the mainstream media is trustworthy and that George Bush's top priority is protecting the American people.
Where'd you get the idea that I like or trust George Bush? Since I've never said or implied that, the only possible explanation is that you comprehend what you read at a first-grade level. Or are you saying that a prerequisite for being a liberal is to buy into your idiotic conspiracy theories? You give us a bad name. Go to your Lyndon LaRouche rally and leave the political forums for the grown-ups. Unlike you, I'm capable of being skeptical of political figures without resorting to ridiculous theories like the New World Order.
Well, you did say that you find the mainstream media to be "mostly truthful." And based on what I have read from you over the past several weeks, it leads me to believe that you buy into whatever the administration and the media spouts, as you are more than adament to criticise anyone opposing the "official" stories they read and hear in the controlled media; a typical Nazi tactic. If I am wrong in my assumption, I apologize. If so, you are equally wrong in assuming that I am a liberal, which I am not. I am an independent (l)ibertarian, and I actually lean more to the right than the left on many issues, if you can believe that. I prefer capitalism to socialism. I am against gun control. I am against open borders, and I am against the excessive government spending of George Bush, who is spending billions of your tax dollars to usher in a totalitarian police state, while destroying the Constitution and civil liberties as he and his globalist handlers wage pre-emptive, imperial wars abroad in which thousands of innocent people are dying in the name of money and global conquest (power). Most of all, I want LIMITED GOVERNMENT, which is the opposite of what liberals want, which is EXCESSIVE GOVERNMENT. It's people like YOU who blindly believe the wars we fight are in the name of terrorism! YOU are the real conspiracy theorist! I don't care for Lyndon LaRouche either, who is a socalist extremist and a racist with a crooked past, and operates on his own agenda. I am not part of the LL crowd, nor have I ever been. Perhaps YOU need to learn to tell the difference between real conservatism and Bush conservatism. Not everyone who is a conservative worships Bush and his corrupt policies, as you and many others have been lead to believe.
Well, let's see. There was the Jayson Blair scandal at the NYT, and the Dan Rather story at CBS. Those and perhaps a few other isolated incidents are all I can think of in recent times regarding media untruthfulness. Not bad, given that the media reports thousands of stories every day. You don't have to believe what you read in the media. If you want to look for evidence to verify their claims, more power to you. But after you do so, then you shouldn't continue to proclaim the story a lie. And it'd be nice if you applied the same kind of skepticism to your internet tabloids that you apply to CNN and the New York Times. Which wars are those? And when have I ever thrown my support behind any of America's recent wars? Again, please direct me to the quote I've made where I said or implied that.
Chossudovsky is also a noted apologist for mass murderer Slobodan Milosovic. I've noticed something about Rat's association with Chossudovsky and Lick, with his denials of Kurdish genocide - both are linked with extremist views and genocide denials, and spend a lot of time in the forum complimenting themselves on their own intelligence, while sneering at anyone who proves them wrong on mere facts. "weak-minded inside-the-box thinking sheeple"? Because we don't believe in ghosts and fawn over the latest lunatic fringe with extremist views and association with groups defending MASS MURDERERS?
LOL. Says the most self congratulatory, substanceless dismissmal artist on these boards. Keep living in your headline fed delusions PB, the notion of substantive "proof", let alone the actual agendas behind the rhetoric to which you so willingly subscribe, is clearly beyond both your intellectual and experiential capacities. A troll you are and ever shall be. {note: you couldn't hold a candle to the level of research and investigative analysis conducted by Chossudovsky, let alone Pilger, Fisk or even your favorite flame target Ruppert}.
Duly tell us about article 2 of the NPT treaty then, whiner. I am afraid I will never be able to hold a candle to the amount of psychiatric treatment Ruppert has had. Nor will I ever be called to testify in defence of Slobodan Milosovic, like Chossdovsky. No regrets there. Why would I want to join that pantheon of losers? So I could have a bunch of followers who believe in the Illuminati, ghosts, and Mossad piloted remote controlled missile firing drones? Are Balbus and Laughing Willow living in headline fed delusions, and is the notion of substantive "proof", let alone the actual agendas behind the rhetoric to which they so willingly subscribe, clearly beyond both their intellectual and experiential capacities, given that they also believe that Saddam ran a campaign of genocide against the Kurds?
Like I said in another thread, please go to Iraq, find a Kurd whose family was slaughtered over there, and tell them that, the genocide, "Never happened". I would not feel one ounce of pity if they beat the living hell out of anyone for saying that to their faces. Even people who disagree with Bush, which in some form or another is 98% of this board including myself, and Willow, will acknowledge basic history and the genocides that happened against the Kurds.
I never denied that Saddam gassed the Kurds. I guess people like playing cheap by putting words in my mouth that I never said. I do know that Rumsfeld and the US continued to back Saddam, however, following Saddam's genocidal actions -- in particular the attack in Halabja in 1988. I never said Saddam didn't gas the Kurds with what Rumsfeld and the US government (among other countries) provided him throughout the mid-late 80's.
