I get those sometimes! They stay there for a while, and one day you'll just take a shower/wash your face or something, and they go away. Don't really know what it is, but I do know that picking at 'em makes it worse! Good luck with it!

Yes they are whiteheads most likely and very hard to get rid of yourself. If you can get insulin syringes/needles and have a friend with a steady hand suck the whitehead out, that's how we physicians do it.

working around the eye is risky and it would be best to have a nurse friend do it if you are trying to save money. If you have the bucks, see a physician, ideally a dermatologist. Sometimes exfoliating creams (the most effective ones are available by prescription and rather expensive) can help, but they are better for prevention and don't really help once the whiteheads have formed. have you been eating anything weird lately?

i know you do all the healthy oils, that's something you have going for you. evening primrose oil has always helped with my weird skin issues. sometimes pple get little white bumps on their skin from a gluten sensitivity.

Probably a blocked and infected oil duct. Please don't put holes in your own body, especially when you may have Staph in that bump, especially near the eye. Worst case scenario, the Staph gets into you eye, which is vulnerable to infection, and without treatment, nasty things could happen. In most states you can't buy syringes w/o a prescription. And in the states where you can, you have to sign for them. Best to have a profession look at and diagnose these.

There are eyelid washes, available OTC, which can help prevent them. Hot compresses are helpful, and occasionally, if they get red and angry looking, a local antibiotic ointment like Cipronex. But, as these are usually self closed infections, walled off by the wall of the "pimple" usually an antibiotic won't help much, UNLESS you see an opening in the bump.

If you get these repeatedly, see a doctor or Opthamologist. They can portend other conditions if you get them a lot. Also, do not wear any eye make up, and you'll have to throw away all your mascara, eye shadow and liner after the infection is gone. Staph can grow in your make up and you can reinfect yourself. The wall of this thing can hang around for years after the infection is gone. As long as you aren't in pain, and it isn't red or irritated, don't worry about it. If you get an other one, see an HCP.
