why is it every one you talk to says war is wrong yet people keep on doing it, and as far as pointless I have no idea what this one is realy about, but I do know that "war on terror" is the sickest oxymoran I have ever heard
the war on terror is semi pointless but not nearly as Vietnam we are actually getting some shit done with the War on Terror Vietnam was completely pointless but the most pointless war...... The War On Drugs
Everything starts with a 'point' i would imagine..It is only after/hindsight we all have the luxury to call things 'pointless'. I am gonna go with 'none of them'
I would have to say both too, but I think the War On Terror is much more dangerous because the US can invade any country they want just because there may be a few terrorist organizations within it....where as during the vietnam war they couldn't say "ok guys were invading Iran because of the Vietnam war" Peace and Love, Dan
Do you think all wars have been 'pointless' or just the ones that 'we' did not win ?.. or do you think 'war' is pointless.. forgive me for not grasping what you mean.
No it really is ALWAYS dumb if you think about it...there are millions of other ways to solve your problems other than start a war...just like when people argue over something they do "rock paper scissors" or something like that, so i am sure they could create a global political way to solve problems without having people killed, but that is just dumb human instinct because we are so angry at eachother for some reason... All posters who believe war is either pointless or positive should be made to stand unarmed in the middle of a combat zone before any opinion can be given.
Every war since the turn of last century, and likely before, has been the result of lies and deception. Wars are not between the people, but between the governments the people live under. The people are used by the government as cannon fodder to advance an agenda of ever-increasing control and power in the hands of a select few. They use fear and patriotism to stir people's emotions into accepting whatever plans are in the works, which are plotted secretively behind the scenes. If we look at every major war of the past 100 years, it's clear to see who has most stood to gain. Wars are nothing than a push towards further centralization of power and control. It's based on a problem-reaction-solution scenario, which is used to dupe the uninformed masses into supporting this hidden agenda.
