it's like they're two different bands when you compare their albums, so which one do you like more? I think Second Coming is much better than their debut, but thats just me. :H
I've only got their debut. Some of the songs are a bit lame, like Elephant Stone or she bangs the drums
the debut is a classic, heh that album was one of the soundtrack's to my youth. I'm pretty fond of Second Coming though but I'll never forget the derision it received when it first came out, but what an act they had to follow after the debut. really enjoy the second album, I love it's swagger, but I'd say the debut in my humble opinion is the better album
Oh man, both have a lot going for them.....but for sentimental reasons i think their debut album....that was like a breath of fresh air after gloomy bastards like Morrisey, Soft Cell, Human League, Tears for Fears etc.....and it had good guitar, and after a decade of Queen, Bryan Adams, Status Quo and Guns n' Roses ruling the roost....we needed the Stone Roses, desperately!
