On the whole I'm glad I am white, unfortunately many other races are still often discriminated against. But I love both Indian & Latino looks, I like their skin color and they often have gorgeous hair, while I am really pale & have very, very thin, dusty blonde hair. In a world without discrimination I'd definitely prefer to be darker skinned, and for a good part in this world too I think... Blah all this sun screen and still turning red & all...
I voted white, but mainly because I'm already white and life has been comparatively uncomplicated as a result. There are probably all sorts of things that most black people in my area know that I don't--things about being black--that would come in handy and I can't think of anyone who would be patient enough to teach someone who would be "ebonically impaired." I'm talking about skin care, hair care, dealing with discrimination, and so on. Not only that, changing races would be a real shock for family, friends, etc.
Yeah.... and if anyone thinks different, then answer this. Since the variety of different people have no definitive dividing lines between them, but are instead a huge, ever so subtly varying spectrum of different skin tones, facial features, hair colours, etc., how, where, and why would you draw lines that separate anybody? Are redheads with freckles a different race than strawberry blondes with freckles? Are black hair and brown hair different enough to consider separate races? Are blue eyes, green eyes, and hazel eyes the marks of different races?
Same colour like those funny mushrooms in the forest - green with red dots. Yes, that's what I wanna look like! white as coal, black as a sheet, that's me...
the race i am now. i don't think it'd be any different to be any race. 95% of people are stupid rather they're black, white, purple, orange.
My family on both sides and therefor I descent in a straight line from the Vikings of the north... I would never change that even if I could, every man should be proud of his own heritage...
I totally agree, this poll is meaningless, there is no race but the human race anyway. I'll close this thread because I want to avoid any racism on the Europe forum, if you don't mind...
