    Chicken or Egg....

    Religious or not....

    Which came first.

The knowledge of being, or the creation of thus?

Bur did we have a free lunch for a thoughtful egg? If the chicken didn't have to lay it, no problem. If the chicken (and rooster) did have to lay that meal for payment or, really, some other field of living origination, then the lunch could be distorted for new Fact hidden in the rational search for the explanation of existence-existing?. entropy is some answer

The chicken was a dinosaur, plain and simple. I think we are beyond that question, it's really now the dinosaur or the egg which we already know the answer to so it's got to be underwater animal or the egg, in which we already know cells were are the relative answer to any egg theory. The egg came after in all cases IMO.

Thought v Body though, I assume the body came first to anchor the brain and to ignite the senses.

Thought exists before everything. Thought exists even before the Universe itself does.

well, for this to really work, we would need to define exactly what thought is, and what an egg is.

The use of the word creation makes it sound like a loaded question.
Can I assume your answer is thought?

Here's my question. What came first, hydrogen or iron?
Complete life cycles of first generation stars needed to exist first, to make the iron that we need to exist...
    Where's that mentioned in genesis?

There's an order to the natural evolution of complexity in our universe. Matter did not start with heavy elements, life did not start with supreme consciousness.

In practical terms we arise in conception and there is a processional relationship.

Maybe it depends if we are talking about thought(s) in general or human thoughts? The thoughts of a human being of course came after the human body.

thought evolved from the universal sea of consciousness. bodies arrived by other roads. now they join one another for a time we call life. then bodies return to resource substance and consciousness finds other bodies in which to be born.

Thought comes to a body to differentiate it's self from the enviornment, primarily in efforts for self preservation and to satisfy the needs of body.

I assume a non-embodied thought would represent something either completely aware or completely unaware, in either instance I don't think there would be a need for body.

... And chicken and egg are both body, so while I understand the attempt for a sequential order of the topic, it's really quite different in another sense.

On the chicken egg dilemma in chicken and egg you have two coordinates but to fix a position in space and time you need three and the other coordinate is intent.

    which thought? what body?

which came first? a very great diversity of very small things. and before that, one thing. and before that, we simply don't know.

we also don't know what caused that one thing to become all those little things. nor where that one thing came from.

maybe it was one of coyotie's jokes, and like a don martin cartoon in mad magazine, it just went "sploidoing!"

Doesn't address the question. Everything has a body and everybody has a name. Is a planetary body a notion? If I may expand on the conception of thought, thought is communication and there is all kind of subconscious communication. We arise through conception or through the taking together. Relative proportions of absorption and reflection are spun in polarity which is the motive of progression.
