I have to read a biography on ANYONE for my English class and then do a presentation on the person in front of the class. I haven't decided between Jimi Hendrix of John Lennon. I'm more towards Lennon though. Any suggestions of really interesting people?.. Thanks!
Oh coool...well i read the "Noone here gets out alive" its a biography book about Jim Morrison..its really good! it was pretty interesting...and well i have this biography of paul mccartney(my fav beatle ) that i have been meaning to read...and i also was going to check out a jimi hendrix biography from the library but i think i had too much books 2 read. but yea....the jim morrison is awesome too! but lennon or jimi is both a good choice and i think both would be exciting!
klee wick (sp?) is really good... it's about Emily Carr, and definatly worth a read! btw-it's short too!
I LOVE that Sig! Who to read about? How old is the instructor? I suggest some physisist or another... Steven Hawking, or Somebody from NASA.
"Keith Moon - "Dear Boy" But if you want to read a John Lennon biography, "In My life" by his best friend Pete Shotton is the best choice. That book made me cry. Good luck!
These are books I couldn't put down. - "No One Here Gets Out Alive" (probably mostly fake but I still loved it) - "Papa John" (autobiography of John Phillips of the Mamas and The Papas, a lot of it is about his journey through drug addiction) - "Wonderland Avenue" (autobiography of Danny Sugerman, co-author of No One Here Gets Out Alive... another drug addict) Another I loved was "Bound For Glory", Woody Guthrie's autobiography. A bit slow at times but quite an adventure.
The first biography I ever did, if I remember correctly, was explorer Leif Ericson or... Leifr... however your spelling of the name is... I actually enjoyed that...
Soon To Be A Major Motion Picture!! the life and times of abbie hoffman, its a totally great book if you like protesters, and radicals.
well depending on what ur into....i would go with Timothy Leary. the man was insanely genius and he did psychadelics in a very "professional" form...he really was a leading figure throughout the 60s and seriously...someone who celebrates his death, has a party on his death bed...and ends his life saying "why not?!" deserves to be recognized. peace and love
I'm reading another bio of Che Guevara... Excellent choice. But if you wanted to read one either on Lennon or Hendrix, I'd go with Lennon.
i read Love, Janis about janis joplin. it was so awesome...i couldnt put it down. i really want to read no one here gets out alive but i cant find it anywhere. right now im in the process of reading abbie hoffmans bio.... it's pretty good too so far. i think i would rather read the lennon one.
