The Arab and the Scot
An Arab was admitted to Hospital for heart surgery, but prior to the surgery, the doctors needed to have some of his blood type stored in case the need arose.

As the gentleman had an extremely rare type of blood that couldn't be found locally, the call went out around the world. Finally a Scotsman was located who had the same rare blood type. After some coaxing, the Scot donated his blood for the Arab.
After the surgery the Arab sent the Scotsman a new BMW, a diamond necklace for his wife, and $100,000 US dollars in appreciation for the blood donation.

A few months later, the Arab had to undergo a corrective surgery procedure. Once again, his doctor telephoned the Scotsman who this time was more than happy to donate his blood.
After the second surgery, the Arab sent the Scotsman a thank-you card and a box of Quality Street chocolates. The Scotsman was shocked that the Arab did not reciprocate his kind gesture as he had anticipated.
He then phoned the Arab and asked him: "I thought you would be more generous than that - last time you sent me a BMW, diamonds and money, but this time you only sent me a lousy thank-you card and crappy box of chocolates ?"

To this the Arab replied: "Aye laddie, but I now have Scottish blood in me veins"........

 

This thread is a good indication of the quality of these forums. I find myself coming back to this site once every 6 months or so and am always amazed that it's not completely dead.

 

seeing a bunch of nipple avatars in the new posts column doesnt exactly help the forum

 

also if you want to catch the fun parts you have to visit often...

disappearing for months or even a year at a time and then coming back to say you dont think the forum is the way you want it to be is kind of ridiculous


"the forum" is the people who are here posting...if you see something lacking ..add some balance by posting what you want to see it be

HF has seen a major decline in fun posters and fun threads and an increase in political threads and political trolls as well as a steady increase of old men with wife fantasies and also, fake females who we have caught out, which has been fun.

Its just this era and it does seem to stem from a political standpoint. Like, I've never seen so many people care about politics, this long after an election. Like it just keeps going on and on, and it's all nonsense, if anything looks bad, your government actually looks straight up 10/10 compared to the anti mass protesters you see online. Trumps in there doing his job, everyone else is like in this denial period which has unfortunately affected and influenced our members here in HF.

People I once got a long with now won't have anything to do with me because we aren't on the right political terms. It's childish and even more so, kinda really gay and I'm disappointed in a few for that treatment.

I remember once upon a time we all had a good laugh in here, now we constantly have to walk on eggshells making sure we don't don't say things, opinionated things, because someone won't agree. That's not what I remember this place being like.

I remember I used to sign on with alerts of people liking my things and have a big joke and carrying on now I shudder when I get alerts because it's like oh who's upset now, who's going to say I'm wrong today? Which isn't a nice sense of being to have to sign into. Like a worry. I fucking worry I've offended someone. Buncha soft cocks!

I dunno, I dont think we've even had a good political argument in a while. This place has been really quiet.

i've always liked the political discussions here. I love talking politics but I refuse to do it in real life or on social media or in a random comments section so this is it for me lol. This place has always had a political aspect to it, it's what drew me to it back in the day - but it had so much else going too, people were talking traveling and drugs and music and philosophy, or just bullshitting around and tickling each other's funny bone and shit. Pretty much all of that has dried up, its just politics was the last to go..but even that is dwindling

the political stuff has taken on a new tone lately though, I agree. not just here but everywhere. People take it very personally and are very antagonistic towards anyone on the other "team"or whatever, it is really stupid. Which is why I avoid it everywhere but here and even here I have to watch who I say something to because those aforementioned politic trolls will twist anything you say

Anyways I've made too long and too serious of a post for a thread about the lack of humor, oooops!

 

It's like the civil war I hear it turned brother against brother, sons against fathers and family against family.

We've turned on each other. Mind you I'm not innocent, of someone takes a jab at me the old right hand is thunder and my left is stone is coming back on that keypad lol. Sometimes I feel bad I have a go at someone, but then I don't get why they're having a go at me in the first place either.

I'm a politics geek and get a lot of satisfaction in political discussion.

The problem I've noticed is the round and round arguments. 100's of pages on gun control? Fucken really?

Of the 80 million posts, 79,999,992 posts are the same arguments hashed and rehashed over and over and fucken over again. We need more topics not more replies to the same eight topics.

Anyway, I digress. Point is, political debate is always awesome; it's the way it's being debated that is the issue.

But, I don't care if you want the next president to be the socialist baby of Bernie Sanders and Hilary Clinton: Either we get along or we don't.

Getting butthurt because people you otherwise get along with have different political views than you...that's just sad

 

More likely you just older and grumpier and find less stuff funny
