i was just going to try this but opened my wallet and dont have a single dollar in it. its all in my bank account =[

 

i got one of those and reported it to the website a few years back. kinda cool

 

I've gotten them a few times in the past but I never looked them up. I used to think it was some kind of scam. *tin foil*

 

I just entered my $4, lol. I'm the first to track them.

 

I'll have to try it someday.... someday when I actually have a dollar!

 

I've gotten them, I know people who track them but I never have.

I usually end up with "wheresgeorge.com" written in the space on the margin where I write things about NORML.org and liberty and right and wrong and other such ravings.

 

i see those all the time. never bothered to enter them though.

i've seen lots of interesting writing on money. not long ago i saw a 5 that had "you were great" written on it...

another strange occurrence was when i had 2 consecutive bills that both said "hello" in almost the same place.

 

I got a $1 bill once that said go fuck yourself on it once...so I did.

I've entered a few before. It's pretty interesting to find out how far and wide your money travels when you live in a humongous country like the USA.

The bills I've reported have come from Colorado and Georgia. I reported a third one that had only come from across two county lines within a 2 year period.

 

Perhaps you broke up their conversation at the outset.

 

It seems like photocopied images of dollar bills would be illegal or something.

 

I started a WG account in 1999 and entered a few bills I found but then forgot all about it until recently. I started marking and entering my own bills earlier this year and am already in the top 6% of PA users! It's interesting to see where the bills end up and the comments people write about how they came across them. What is really funny is when my own bills come back to me! Basically a free hobby. The custom stamps are cheap. I have a link to a good supplier if anyone is interested. PM me if you're a WG member!

 

Wonder if it is legal to put spam on dollar bills and other notes. Everything else in the U.S. has advertising on it, such as the doors of public bathrooms.

 

Yeah, I've gotten a few of those. Never been bothered to look into it, though.

 

Holy Carp I forgot about that. I have a couple, maybe 4 bills that I followed up on. It's been so long I don't know my username or password.

I like to write random things on dollar bills sometimes. I usually write things like "I love you" or once or twice I wrote "George Loves You."
