Valrico, FL reporting in! Going to be exploring a lot of trails over the summer. I'm in Dallas for school right now but getting back next week. I haven't barefooted in FL yet so I'm curious to the reactions I'll get. Not that it's going to change my preference, but the area I live is more conservative and I'll probably get more negative comments there than I do here.
As My Avatar Says, The Country Town Of Bathurst, Pop 40,000 ,In The State Of New South Wales, In An Upsidedown Country Called Australia... Where Barefooters Are Most Welcome... Cheers Glen.
In Southern California in the vicinity of Long Beach/Orange County. I wouldn't exactly say I'm in a "barefoot friendly" area; rather, more like "barefoot tolerant." I'm sure it wouldn't be so much of an issue if I lived closer to the beach--but, oh well! I try to make the most of my situation. Welcome to the Barefoot Forum, by the way.
Near Syracuse NY. Close to the Adirondack mountains we have four very full seasons of weather. The beauty of autumn is enhanced by barefooting. The attitudes of others varies but isn't all that bad. In outdoor settings very few comments some curious but not negative overall.
Closet Station . . . erm I mean College Station Texas. You'll never find a more conservative hive of right wing nut jobs and rush lovers. I get looks and stares but haven't had any comments, yet. it is a college town, so maybe that helps
Yeah, I sometimes wish I were on Pandora, being one of the natives there (they don't know shoes, lucky them!!) - but "the Ruhr Megalopolis" (as I call my location now) is in the central western part of Germany, quite near the Germany-Dutch border, and is currently also the "World culture capital 2010". One big place for urban barefooting, but also with some nature spots, too (surprising for a former industrial region of coal mining and steel mills) to have Mother Earth touch my bare soles. Hey, no worries - you'd get a nice and strong barefoot Avatar body - with that you can run. If a paraplegic marine could do that, anyone can. Oh, I love barefoot-supporting movies. Wiggling an Avatard's toes, ~*Txim Asawl*~ (Woops, wrong forum - make that ~*Ganesha*~) :smilielol5:
