This is to see exactly how much the United States and Europe exploits people third-world countries. Think about sweatshops. My shirt was made in Peru, my pants were made in Vietnam, and my shoes were made in Vietnam also. The corporation that manufactured the clothes didn't earned any money from me buying my clothes because I buy all of my clothes second-hand from donation shops. As an added bonus, the profit of the donation shops goes mainly to homless ppl. Anywho, look at your clothing tags. It will help you understand how much corruption we got around us.
Ok I checked the tags of the clothes im wearing right now. My pants were made in USA but my shirt was made in Mexico.
my clothes are all made in nepal as part of the fair trade my friend has a web site selling fair trade clothing its www.thenakedmonkey.com
My "Can'T Bust 'Em" canvas cover-alls were made by good-ole-rednecks working for minimum wages, but, MADE IN AMERICA! Are you a goddamn commie?
i go down to asheville a lot so thats where i get most of my clothes. either that or i just make tye dye in my backyard. stylish yet functional!
when all my kids were real young i couldent afford much in the way of clothing for myself every penny went on the kids so i wouod head off to the nearest charity shop or oxfam and buy shirts pants skirts and renevate them add things take things away .................you could end up with about five outfits for a tenner
i'd make my own clothes if i took the time to learn how to sew or whatever but then again, i'd do alot of things if i wasn't so lazy... ugh
shirt.. america umm couldnt find a tag on the pants. I got the shirt at this company called american apperel.. apparently sweatshop free. But there really expensive so i didnt get much. it was sorta weird being in that shop there. I read about it and it was like sweatshop free and it was like oh cool and then i went there and there was like penthouse magazines everywhere. thats awesome you people make your own clothes though.
shoes: Colorado skirt: nepalese shirt USA, art by my sweetie only thing I'm uninformed on is my glasses frames. most of my clothes are second hand or from a shop supporting the Nepali expats in India.
So what if all our clothes were made in the US and Europe? In what way does something being made somewhere = us exploiting that place? So if we only buy made in the USA shit, are we exploiting the US? So basically as long as we're buying shit that was made someone is being exploited? Anyway, people wouldn't work in sweatshops if they had other better options, so....
