Best cities to live in?? So I'm looking to get out of the area I'm in (WI/MN) and I'm trying to figure out where to go. Right now Seattle is at the top of my list. I have 2 cousins and their families out there and I've been there before. But I'm trying to find out what other options I have. I'd like to be at least relatively close to a large city because I'm a concert junkie. I'd like to find a place with a good public transportation system so that I don't have to bring a car with me (I like to walk, not a big fan of biking though). I'd like a place with a very artistic and cultural feel to it. I like outdoor festivals, block parties, community events. I like street vendors and market places. I also love camping and hiking and swimming so I would like a place where I can easily do all of these things. I'm looking for a place where the cost of living isn't ridiculously high (I realize it will be high since I'll be near a large city). But somewhere I could rent a decent studio in a safe neighborhood for $500 or less. What else... oh I love coffee shops, wine bars, used book and music stores that are open late, and 24 hour diners. So anywhere that has that type of nightlife (not big on the bar/night club scene unless it's for concerts). And finally I'll like a place where the general feel is positive. There are some cities I've visited where the vibe is just negative and cold. I need somewhere friendly. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know! Thanks a lot Christy
