amen. for me, living in nature is good for a vacation, or retirement. I am a music FUHRREAK, and I groove to the city beat.
mountains... not snow-capped peaks, but nice rocky but lush tennessee style glorified hills... those are the ones i like... streams and cliffs and wildlife... and acoustic guitars need no city electricity
oh man but snow capped peaks are SO beautifull all year long.....but I dont know about these Tennessee mountains, Ill hafta check them out too.
You know, I think that I voted for the forest, but I have to say, that when I'm in the sticks for too long, I miss the city. It's true. I love San Francisco. I love being able to get whatever food I'm in the mood for, however unusual. I love it that I am not freaky in the city. I'm boring, even. I love that. I love that fact that in San Francisco, I can go hiking at Land's End, in Golden Gate Park, on the beach, and all in the city! In the woods, but in the city! GGP is so wild that coyotes have attacked little dogs there! (And lets not forget that animals are escaping from the SF Zoo left and right. Wild enough for ya?) I love that different neighborhoods have different flavors, but everywhere smells like the sea. I love that cool music comes to SF, and cool music live in the SF Bay Area. If you're itching to get out, there's something to do! I love the fact that you don't need to drive in SF. People who have cars don't drive because taking the buses and Bart (subway) is easier. So...in Sf I can have the sea and the forest and the city. Love it. And did I mention the bookstores....? And the rallies...
I picked The Sea ,, Cuz It's so Infitive And hearing the ocean's roar is just pure beauty,, PeAcE & lOvE
i like the countryside, but that includes mountains AND forest, but yea i just like the country more than the city. the city is just convenient, not really a place to live if your someone like me.
I love the em all, and the desert. But the bay area all the way up to the Sound.Beautiful man! And then I get homesick for old Austin! I try and squeeze as much of these places in as I can! Happy Trails
Like most everyone else, I love all of them, which is why I love the Pacific Northwest. Of course, the cruel irony is, I live in one of the only places in the area that lacks all of these! I plan to move to Portland, Seattle or San Francisco very soon (all cities near the sea, the mountains, the country, and the forest).
When it comes to cities, my favourite is the San Francisco, San Jose, Northern California area, which I visit frequently and plan to move there someday. If I had a time machine, I'd love to go back to the late 60's, early 70's, in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Fran, where it all began, and to me, still has the hippie vibe. By the sea, and I've put my money where my mouth is for many incredible years now. The Pacific NorthWest coastline in a storm battered wonderland of lonely beaches and secret coves. A mountainous rainforest runs for several miles inland. This time of year, the winter storms roll off the icy cold Pacific ocean like tidal waves of wind and water. The waves grow huge as they smash against jagged cliffs, where the mountains meet the sea. The seamist drifts through the tall fir trees like ghosts, as a distant whale calls from somewhere offshore. Yeah baby, this is the place. x
