you were expecting maybe humans to make sense, or eros either for that matter. i sort of think we can all imagine better then how anything works in real life. other people in other times and places have and will do things in other ways. that's just a matter of accepting or denying that we live in a universe that could give a shit less what we in one culture of one species on one planet, flatter ourselves to imagine we know.
