Where did you find YOUR tattoo artist?

I'm currently on the search for a new tattoo artist because mine was less than stellar doing my last tattoo and I just wasn't happy.

I've just been searching the internet, but I plan on stopping into some shops this week to look at some portfolios.

So tell me, how did you find YOUR tattoo artist?

 

Word of mouth. The best way to find an awesome artist is to ask people where they got their ink.

 

word of mouth too... my manager at the place of my employment way back when had I think 7 tattoo's all by one artist by the time I'd decided I wanted one. I checked their website and made an appointment.

 

yeh by word of mouth also, some friends got theirs done with the artist and their tattoos turned out most excellent.

Word of mouth. :tongue: Well, the place where I got my first one done I actually just found randomly but the guy there turned out to be very very good, luckily. But the place where I got my other one done was recommended to me by this guy I dated for a while last summer, he had some amazing tattoos that were enough to convince me to use the same studio he used.

 

word of mouth- but I dont have a tattoo yet a *potential* tattoo and Id most definately have Chris do it.. he has fixed so many botched jobs done by other artists and made them look AMAZING! and I trust him and he's super clean and it just feels safe Im comfortable with him..
