I really like Cancun, Mexico. I've been to the Punta Cana as well, but I liked Mexico better.

Punta Cana is in DR, it's very pretty but kinda boring.
Go to Cabarete, awesome surf town, lots of bars one next to the other, there's a bunch of people from everywhere who have just gone and fell in love with the place and stayed and it's pretty cheap.

I think I want it to be kind of an isolated place, but that has alcohol available :D

Just want to be on a non crowded beach and not do much for a few days

Stay AWAY from Cancun or any such tourist traps.

It kinda depends on what you're looking for in the vacation? Adventures or just chillout? Luxury or something a tad less tamed?

Gary... I wanna go soooo bad.

AHAHAHA that is seriously what I need. What's your price range though? Cause I have ideas but price is a factor in what ideas I say....

thats doable but not figi. there are many carribean places u can go and pay abotu that much and have all your meals (that are gooood) paid for, a mini bar in your rooms, free drinks in bars... everything but they are resorts. resorts kinda suck but you can have a good time in them. good deals. anyways im out but i wanna gooooo damn it ;)

Im going to Cuba on honeymoon in March! Never left Europe before so should be interesting. We just chose it because it seemed like a beautiful peaceful resort though. Were not usually resort people AT ALL, but all the hassle our families are giving us with the wedding, well need the break

We nearly chose Cancun but it was more expensive:)

I'm not allowed to go to Cuba

I would rather it be sort of a hotel or villa rather than a giant resort with jimmy buffet loving accountants on vacation

Nicaragua has some beautiful volcanic beaches and you can live like the fucken king of the world on a 150$ a night budget there. Same with Guatemala and Honduras.

I'm a little biased when it comes to this, but... Roatan, the more expensive and pretty of the Honduran islands has the prettiest beaches I've seen in the entire Caribbean, pretty damn picturesque. It's a tad more rich-person oriented though... it does have some beautiful rainforest to compliment the beach though. You can go to Utila, the island where I spent much of my summers as a teenager. Lots of backpacking hippies, dirty streets, great nightlife, and scuuuuuuba diving... even though it's not very chill and beachy.

Belize has some amazing beaches on the coast, it's a tad more expensive than the other ones, but you can still do extremely fine on 150$. Stay away from Mexico, Panama, Cuba, Ecuador, and El Salvador... not really worth it if you want to just chill out.

You can always just do the Jamaica thing, but I bet that it's ridiculously overpriced and touristy.

You can pull it off if you really want to go there. Fly to Panama City, and then take a flight straight into Cuba. They kinda want tourists, so they won't stamp your passport, they'll just staple a paper to it (which you'll just rip out when you get back to America).

Yes, Costa Rica is nice. I thought I forgot about something.

    Not too nice though.

    Nice.

I haven't seen the beaches there though...

It's very Americanized, so it will be much more expensive.

    wow.. really?
why would you not like to be with people from other places?
That's like one of the cool things of traveling, IMO...
Or did you mean that you dont like being surrounded by tourists? because that's a whole different thing
