this is for all of us hippys and punks at heart. how many people do we know that just say that they are punks/hippys becuse they dress it listen to the music or do drungs?
When will the younger generations take action? the only reason that the original hippys were so success full is becuse they actulaly fought for their belifes. people say they had vietnam, but this war in iraq is our vietnam, their are not enough of us doing anything.
either way i just want oppinions on what your doing about, plan on doing, or have to say about this.

a lot of the time hippies were just people who listened to music and dressed in a certain way. nothing changes, personally i dont see anything worth fighting for at the moment.

    call me when you do.

nothing worth fighting for? How about the lives of innocent muslims, or how about the lives of the hundreds of thousands who slave under american corporations in Africa and South America who are raped and abused and make next to nothing? How about the americans in prison/jail right now for some bullshit drug laws?

It could be you, it could be your mom, or your wife.

Theres so much stuff worth fighting for, but hippies dont fight... they bend over and take it from the man... or else they will protest, aka, doing absolutely nothing.

We should do something...but I think everyone's too fuckin lazy....we have to formulate plans and act on them...not just say we'll act on them, but genuinely do stuff. What to do though, what to do...

not just 2 or 3 or even 23 or 100... you need thousands of people to band together to really be heard.....in the mean time ... just do what you think is best.. me and my mom raise alot of money to send to africa and other foreign countries, we collect clothing and canned goods to.... its a pretty good idea and we usually do pretty good if we nag enough people lol....and the people that truly count hear you... unfortunately the people that have the power to do more about the situations ignore you

Honestly, I think about 10 people off of all of these forums would SERIOUSLY start doing something locally if something was being done globally as well.
    I KNOW I would.
I would GLADLY sit in jail for 20 years if I know that I have helped move the revolution forward.
The only thing I would NOT do...is kill.

it´d be cool be part of a big revolution, tho

my belief is that evrything starts with one. u cant wait around for other people to do something. u have to be active everyday in fighting for your beliefs, doing things. maybe there isn't a huge band of followers in your home town, but there doesn't have to be. sedning letters and shit to the government telling em what u think is something u can do from your own home and it DOES make a difference if u r patient and persistent. just dont give up!!! if just being nice to people u arent usually nice to is the only way for u to spread the peace, then so be it!!! sometimes when u cant change the world for everyone its nice to think that u can change the world for a few people. less hate means more love. by the way mui, rock on!!! you know your stuff, its refreshing!!! wish i had more knowledge about that sort of stuff

I'm willing to protest the Bush administration, Iraqi "war" and factory farming/fast food chains. But there isn't anything happening locally, and frankly, I just don't give a damn. I don't think it will make a difference at all.
Not with the things I want to fight anyway. There is worldwide protest of the Bush administration, and it didn't get one damn thing done.

i totally agree with tezza... i think the problem is that people think " i can´t cange the word" so they just don´t do anything...that´s the problem... if people, instead of thinking that they can´t stop the hunger in the world helped people in their town who are starving, or as tezza said, people were nicer and so on...things would be better...
the small good things you do can make the world a bit better... that´s the attitude (IMO)

Nothing will ever happen as long as people run around uneducated. We're nothing more than the proles of Oceania. People don't even know what to protest about.
