And so the Labour Party enters - along with the Nation - a new era.
One hopes that the situation that we find ourselves in today, and the new way of living, will see greater unity within the Nation as a whole, and between the Party leaderships work together to see the Country recover from a virus that has seen heartbreak and tragedy

That wasn't an opinion, it was; at the time, the latest intention of statement
The list you provided - to me - looks to be one that can mount a creditable opposition that the public would support - at the Polls.
Are you suggesting that the way to re-gain electoral confidence and votes would be to continue going along the Corbyn route of Leftism - if so, who would you have chosen to mount a strong challenge?

I'm not a member of the Labour Party, nor am I supporter. The Labour Party is far too 'soft' - it needs a dose of 'Stalinist' discipline !!!

I didn't say you were, but as you observed the make-up of H.M opposition with cynical eye, the question still stands,
Criticism is easy - whereas coming up with a observation comment of consideration does require a more acute understanding of strategic planning,

As above - do you really think that this is a Nation that would support that?
If that is what you believe then I afraid that you will be sadly disappointed - and only play into the arms of a conservative party legacy of government

    Labour Leadership Contenders: - Aftermath
    REBECCA LONG-BAILEY: Shadow Education Secretary
Promised a “top job” by Starmer during the campaign, she got one – but as the architect of Labour’s Green New Deal offer, it might come as a disappointment to be put in charge of education. It is presumed that she will simply continue Rayner’s work on the National Education Service policy. Resisting market forces in higher education is important to the Labour left, as is scrapping tuition fees, but she won’t be able to go further if Labour’s next manifesto must be slimmed down compared to the 2019 one
    LISA NANDY: Shadow Foreign Secretary
Such a senior post was not entirely expected. It is a significant acknowledgement that Starmer respects the way in which she fought for the leadership. It is interesting that she has been picked for this rather than Shadow Home Secretary, in a move that may actually represent one of the biggest breaks from Corbynism under Starmer.
She was the only leadership candidate to pro-actively talk about foreign policy during the campaign when she stated that the Corbyn team “failed on Russia” and its response to the Salisbury attack was “totally wrong”.
EMILY THORNBERRY: Shadow International Trade Secretary.
Demoted. She was expected to leave shadow cabinet altogether, though, Starmer clearly wasn’t unimpressed by her leadership campaign. It also means we’ll see head-to-heads with Liz Truss, which will be highly enjoyable.
