...will Wal-Mart sell pot paraphernalia? Seriously, head shops inside Wal-Mart? And will their pharmacies sell marijuana? Will the pipes be made by underpaid laborers in Chinese sweatshops and the pot be grown on Chinese government land by underpaid farm laborers, thus allowing them to undercut their prices as usual? And in so doing will they drive the mom & pop head shops and marijuana dispensaries out of business? We need to nip this in the bud, no pun intended. FIGHT WAL-MART!!
No, because their weed will probably be shit Walgreens tho..that would just give a whole new meaning to the brand name:smoking:
I see it similar to beer. There will be the mass produced crap like Coors that will have millions in marketing telling you it is the best. But there will also be micro brews who do not have advertise because word of mouth has established it is better then Coors. But you will pay for the quality. Walmart will sell anything that makes money.
Or maybe there will be nationwide chains in the tradition of McDonald's and Starbucks, with names like Weed Xpress, High Time, or Mary Jane's Hideout. It boggles the mind to think of the many directions this can take.
Like cigar clubs, there will be membership clubs where you can get together with friends and smoke fatties.
The money guy behind the vote for pot in washington already has a plan to make a nation wide chain for selling pot.
I've kind of thought that for a while. It will become legal as soon as the elite business people figure out a way to monopolize it.
It should be produced enmass by RJ reynolds and the like. It is A LOT easier to grow than tobacco so it should be a lot cheaper even after tax. It's completely possible to grow high quality weed on an industrial scale so cheap it's not worth growing it yourself unless it's your hobby, like winemaking. These legal clinics and such selling the shit for just slightly less than street prices is fucking bullshit.
Bloomberg purchased a large stake in a marijuana growing company, simultaneously decriminalizing it in New York City. Coincidence? No.
It is a morality tax. There are allot of people in Colorado who really do not like the new laws. So it sort of a fuck you to all the pot heads.
I think it will be the same as it is here now for the most part. People growing and trading buds and oils, it's almost like a co-op type situation. The only main difference would be the glass shops and places like that selling weed. So tourists and non locals wouldn't have to know someone to find good product. In other words the underground market would continue as usual.
You can get the cheap Chinese mass produced stuff at gas stations and flea markets, but the privately owned shops here at the beach all sell high quality handmade (in America) pipes.
I personally know at least a dozen glass blowers. They're fun folks. Plus it's nice to smoke from pieces you've watched be made. There's a deeper connection like that. There are plenty of shops around that sell mass produced glass, but everyone I know gets all of their stuff from local artists. And that's the same attitude that pot smokers share that makes me guess that mom and pop pot shops are going to do well. I wanna open a pot shop called Mom and Pops. Maybe have the p look a little like a t in a weird font
Yeah thats definetly a factor. fuckers Does anyone know what the allowable blood/thc level will be for CO's DWI laws? The fear being it will be so low pot smokers can't drive even if they smoked just yesterday.
