I think it's almost been 4 years since I saw a dentist. I'd like to go every year, but I havn't because of lack of insurance. I have to make an appointment real soon because I chipped one of my teeth. It's hurting a lot, especially when I brush it or eat something. I have high anxiety when going to doctor appointments but I actually don't mind dentist appointments. I actually find the whole ordeal kind of relaxing. Anyone else or is it just me? I find myself on the verge of falling asleep in the chair. Now I feel like some kind of freak, gotta go.. Can't wait to get my teeth cleaned.
It's been a while, but I really need to go soon because the enamel on some of my teeth is starting to come off, possibly because I eat some acidic foods and brush my teeth too hard. I have always had a healthy mouth, though. I've had only a single small cavity back when I was in my mid-20s, so it kind of sucks when something like this happens. Then I hesitate making an appointment because I'm afraid of what it's going to cost.
It's been a while. I used to be better when it comes to these things. I've been meaning to go for weeks now xD
I go every six months. I don't really like the dentist. The longest I've been without seeing one is 6 years or so. Actually, I think I'm having a problem similar to Rat. The edges of my teeth are starting to become just a tiny bit transparent. I'm worried about it. Rat, you're right to assume that brushing your teeth after eating acidic foods is bad. I was told to wait 30 minutes after eating to brush teeth.
I went in December for a cleaning and check up. My wife work there for years so it was free but since she quit I get to pay :/
I go once a year! Although it has been a year now. My dentist sends me a mail to tell me it was one year ago I last saw him, this was in december I think... I rarely have any issues so that's why we went with once a year instead of twice and partly the reason why I'm slacking on making an appointment
A few weeks ago. They found a little cavity I have to have filled soon :/. First time since the one I had whew I was 16.
Now I go every six months. I have a checkup appointment for Wednesday morning. I don't have dental insurance either. It is amazing what they charge for some of the things they do. Checkup and cleaning is about $100, if they take any x-rays it can jump to twice that. I am sure I put many children through college from dental work. Not to mention a few children of veterinarians. A few years ago they had to replace some old fillings and that got expensive. The last couple years just the cleaning and check.
About 6 and a half years. I had a broken tooth that went rotty and had to be yanked. I currently have a chipped tooth up front and some terrible receding gums on bottom, but until either start causing me actual pain, I'm just gonna have to deal. No insurance, so dental care is for emergencies only.
Every six months we go for a cleaning and once a year for a full check. I always book the next appointment at that time as otherwise I tend to not notice how quickly it passes.
3.5 years. And I've had dental insurance the whole time. And I knew I had 2 more cavities 3.5 years ago. I'm so so so so so so so scared of the dentist. Have super sensitive teeth that need novacaine in order to be CLEANED and I've had some bad experiences w dentists... I know I need to go and get filled w such a sense of dread over the dentist. literally the damn dentist is the ONLY type of pain I have ANY fear of.
around the time i finished college and my student loan payments consumed that extra money i used to spend on things like dentists. i also don't mind the dentist. it's kind of awkward having a stranger fisting your mouth like that, but it's not like it hurts or anything.
Probably 3 or 4 years ago. It was an early morning appointment so i rolled out of bed and went straight there. The lady cleaning my teeth was pretty decent looking, (and so was the assistant) and i was wearing sweat pants and got a massive erection during the routine cleaning. It was so embarrassing. havent been back since
I know exactly what you mean. My dentist has this really hot dental assistant (19, 20 years old) and it appears to be her sole responsibility is to keep you calm and distracted during the procedure, so she’ll press her body up against mine :2thumbsup: I'm absolutely serious :2thumbsup: Hotwater
