When I think of all the good time that I'm wasting, having good times When I think of all the good time that's been wasted, having good times When I drinkin', I should have been thinkin' When I was fightin', I should have done the right thing All of this boozin', I was really losin', good time When I think of all the good time that's been wasted, having good times When I think of all the good time that's been wasted, having good times All of my lying, I remember her crying My useless talkin', I could have been walkin' Instead of complaining, I could have been gaining, good times Yep. Here we all are. Having a jolly good time And everything is working out just fine Ha ha ha Useless talkin' All of that walkin' All of my sinnin' I could have been winnin' I have it too easy And it's the beginning, of good times Good times! I said good times! Talkin' 'bout good times! https://youtube.com/watch?v=vtArnz5qt4o
What a great song, and it rings truth to me too. I don't really see myself changing my ways any time soon, but I'm sure I'll think about this song in future days and it might even mean more to me then.
stop wasting time thinking about times and start taking it easy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AAN_rGQV_8
There is hope for You yet Irm The rooms were so much colder then My father was a soldier then And times were very hard When I was young When I was young Smoked my first cigarette at ten And for girls, I had a bad yen Life meant so much more When I was young When I was young When I was young, it was more important Pain more painful, the laughter much louder, yeah When I was young https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPKTQkkK3YM&feature=youtu.be&t=24
OoOoOo I love this song too. I first heard it on a tv show called Tour of Duty. Vietnam era series. My first CDs were the soundtracks to the show.
the time that is wasted is the time you're not enjoying. i mean, sure, if that's all you think about, that's wasted too. but i think the dominant culture has some really backward ideas about what comes to putting time, or anything else, to good use. the whole way of measuring that is backwards. i don't mean good to ignore creating a world you won't enjoy because you're only thinking about the drama and excitement of blindly gratifying what is just right now. but i mean, we're wasteful in not creating that world for everyone to enjoy, that everyone could enjoy, not just for one blind moment, but to be able to always have, that we really could, so much more easily then we are told, be creating. and even the gratification and enjoyment of the very process of creating that kind of world, that instead, people not only ignore for themselves, but even deny to each other the opportunity of participating in. and that's not something that's created by money and business either. but it is every science and engineering and art and just plane making things. but also making things, with in mind what kind of world those things make too. this is what fascinates me. i mean its great that people make a living entertaining too. great for them anyway. but the waste is the ignorance of there being such an infinity of far more gratifying things then just being entertained. i mean if you're actually making the visual or audible art, i mean that's doing something. but if you're just consuming what someone else has made of it, yes that's kind of a waste. and there's lots of other things that are also good. the more niche's that don't have the same broad cachet. but i mean it more the niches that are where its at for any one actual person.
when i'm not familiar with what something is about, i have only what i like to think is logic to apply to it. read too much into? i think we live in the world that we do, because of people failing to ask the next question.
Good Times. Any time you meet a payment. Good Times. Any time you need a friend. Good Times. Any time you're out from under. Not getting hastled, not getting hustled. Keepin' your head above water, Making a wave when you can. Temporary lay offs. Good Times. Easy credit rip offs. Good Times. Scratchin' and surviving. Good Times. Hangin in a chow line Good Times. Ain't we lucky we got 'em Good Times.
every time is a good time when you're seeing the beauty around you, or in your mind what could be there. that's for sure. but i consider a mundane life a wasted life, however much might be materially gained by it. there is no such thing as normal. only mundane. which is illogical.
