In second grade they would have these big assemblies where we would all get together and people on stage would talk about how to JUST SAY NO!

I would be askin the kid sittin next to me,"what are drugs?"And the kid would go,"I dunno....somethin bad?"And we would just sit there clueless.

Then one day in 5th grade i finally figured out that some wern't as evil as the speakers said they were!

    I felt real stupid....:)

We had some drug-related lecture in the 5th grade also, I think.

Smoked weed for the first time when I was 14.

Yeah, red ribbon week never made much sense to me, but any excuse to dress like an idiot was a good day for me.

I learned about them when my big brothers and sisters handed them to me and explained all the do's and donts.

i'm pretty sure all we did for red ribbon week was sign a petition stating that we wouldn't drink and drive or something like that...

had to wait for one of the two spirit weeks to dress like an idiot, or else do it on your own.

I learned through the DARE program. i had fun doing the "play" that we performed for the parents. I still remember this incredible performance that some kids did with lights and music. it was really great. but yeah, it didnt really make me say no.

kindergarden, they showed us a bunch of pills and told us they weren't candy and to never eat anything given to us by a stranger. Talked about drugs in a very abstract lethal way.

We never had that,,,but we always had someone come in the school with dynamite and blasting caps (mining town) and tell us to not stick those wires in a plug in

I always wanted to find some but never did
