Sometimes I search barefoot and click on news to find stuff for a topic and again and again these stories, Elsa Pataky goes barefoot as she picks up nappies in Byron Bay | Daily Mail Online Nice feet ! And the news stories that promote barefooting keep coming out at a steady pace Barefoot Walking And Running: The Health Benefits | Glamour UK Slowly slowly chipping away at the barefoot is bad you always need shoes myth.
The only place I go barefoot is my house and the dojo. The outside world is full of funk and I dont wanna step in it. Like the other day I stepped in dog poo. I dont know where being barefoot being bad is a myth.
I believe celebrities have an incredible power to make barefooting more mainstream. Hope this happens someday.
I don't know unless they are in the top 10 of famous people I just don't. I have heard of Mel Gibson before I just figured this lady was famous too.
With all the channels, YouTube, Netflix, more tv series than ever, products, and social media, the definition of celebrity is so diluted, nobody can keep up and anybody can claim celebrity status. Some years back, a couple of college students staged a stunt in which one acted like the other fellow was famous. I think he yelled, "There's Brad Cohen." (I believe that was the name, and it was his real name.) A women chortled, "I love Brad Cohen." After a while people were chasing the guy, and the police were called.
now mel gibson is a celebrity. but these days he's mostly famous for being crazy, so maybe not the best example for a pro-barefooting post.
Im always a bit wary of these "celebrities" going barefoot....sure they may on the stage, or red carpet or wherever.......but I bet they're not 24/7 barefoot in their private lives. I remember going to see Joss Stone here in Auckland, New Zealand - yes she was barefoot, and so was I...but I thought 'does she go barefoot to the local supermarket, shopping malls etc" like I do.....probably not.
"When celebrities go barefoot it makes the news" ...but when I go barefoot I'm made to leave the store.
