When a guy says "I care for you"

In MOST guys, it means: I like you, but I don't want to commit.
But, it sounds like you have something GOOD going on in your life. Keep it if you can.
That means, let him know exactly how you feel. And if he doesn't feel the same way, Stay friends. If he does feel the same way, you're in business! Take a chance and tell him.

 

First of all, HE CARES FOR YOU. That's great in itself, isn't it?

Generally I would think most guys mean ''something more'' when they say that (but it's quite possible that this is just my inability to easily adapt to societal distinctions between ''Friends'' and ''Lovers''). Having read your poem (very nice), however, it does seem that his feelings are at least ambivalent (Is he perhaps gay or sth like that?).
In any case, stay free and a gentle soul (that you already are). The world would be a much poorer place without you, so please take care.

It probably means he loves but is just too scared to put it so bluntly. Blokes are right cowards like that.


Either that he he could just really care for you.

from what you've written, taking everything into context i think he is/was probably worried about you and wanted you to know that he genuinly does care for you. i dont think it was said as a sexual advance but as friendly reassurance that he will be there for you. in any case this doesnt mean he wouldn't want more of a relationship from you but at the same time it does indicate that he would either.

in short i think he was just letting you know you can count on him.

 

yeah thats what i thought Xac, that was my initial reaction then i kinda thought a bit too much and got a wee bit confused. Lesson: NEVER THINK Unless its about the best way to tie your shoelaces.
