I'm not against it, as long as the women have free choice - to do it or not. If they have to do it against their will, I'm against it. Also, why is prostitution illegal, but hiring prostitutes is legal? They arrest chick because of making money, but no one actually cares about their clients. Those clients pay the chicks for sex because they want to, they actually cause the prostitution, because if there were no clients, there would be no prostitution, but everyone ignores this fact. It think it's unfair.
I don't think it is an ignored fact, fuuuunia. It happens in many other cases. They do go after the money, but only because it is too difficult for them to go after the root of the problem. It would be much more expensive to stop johns than the prostitutes, and so they stop the prostitutes. I think it is unfair aswell, but find it difficult to say why. Legislation generally doesn't account for harm, so they must think there is some cultural benefit, on top of the economic situation.
I agree. Well then I think prostitution should be legal, should be taxed, but only in case of optional (if that's the right word to use) prostitution.
i don't think you're going to find many people that would agree with a tax on rap so your condition is safe. That it ought to be taxed, on the other hand. Isn't theft always theft?
I disapprove of it and ethically disagree with the notion of legalizing prostitution. I think the government and the private sector have a requirement to generate productive jobs for women to actively participate in a viable environment in the workforce. In my view, legalizing prostitution targets women and commodifies human sexual behaviour. Ethically, I think it's wrong to capitalize on one sex over another and exploit them.
Also, it is my belief that if prostitution were made legal, given the rise of internet child pornography material and demand for it, both women and children would become sexual predator targets and be more at risk fand vulnerable for being abused by employers and people working in the incorporated prostitution industry.
sure sure ... blame the women! Thats what i was saying up there about focusing on the aspect that we feel we still have control over. Although, in this case i don't think it is a reaction to powerlessness, but a genuine belief. i guess that doesn't make it any less of a reaction ...
Most I have seen the busted the Johns and not the hookers. Check out https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=video+vigilante&search_type=&aq=3&oq=videov
I don't think that's a major problem in places where it is legalized. To break it down in the words of the great George.. "Selling is legal, fucking is legal. Why isn't selling fucking legal? Why should it be illegal to sell something that’s legal to give away? I can’t follow the logic. Of all the things you can to do a person, giving them an orgasm is hardly the worst. In the army they give you a medal for killing people; in civilian life you go to jail for giving them orgasms. Am I missing something?"
If there is a way to know for sure that a girl is not being forced out there to support some abusive shit head then i see no problems. I mean if she wants to have sex, make some cash and is happy fine. If she is forced out there then thats wrong. It would require permits and such to sort that out to a degree I would guess.
i agree.. personally im all for legalizing prostitution in brothels (ive read a few studies saying that street prostitution is typically far far far more dangerous for hte prostitutes than in brothels - more likley to be beat up, drug addictedc, etc etc) wasnt there a thread on this not so terribly long ago? rather long one if i remember right
I’m not against it some people just won’t get laid if they don’t pay for it. But I always wonder if a prostitute gets raped shout the perpetrator get charged with rape of petty theft?
I support the right to do it, or the right to refrain from it. It shouldn't be the business of old white men in a 100 year old building pretending to be our leaders. Playing the leader game.
i have absolutely no problem with it i have major problems with gov't regulation of such acts. fuck them
