It really depends on the application. When I make Cold "Chicken" Pasta salad with Morningstar Farms strips, I found Bowties takste better (to us) than macaroni. It really makes all the difference when you have the rght shape pasta, even though it's made out of the same stuff! (just wheat, oil, and water for most pasta)
Rigatoni, that.. scoobi doo stuff.. I need to find out the real italian name seeing as I hate Scooby Doo.. ahha... the big shells... I also have a thing about eating lasagna noodles without the lasagna/cheese/meat/oven/etc. lasagna noodles cooked plain with butter and cheese.. oh good lord.
Have you all people ever tried the Italian Pasta?! I eat it very often ...(I' m Italian ) My favourite one is called ''spaghetti'',you may know it!
i know its kinda lame, but spaghetti is and will always be my favourite. I have to have a pasta that is thick, none of that skinny shit
I prefer long pasta, but it really depends what sauce I'm adding to itsome sauces work better with different kinds of pasta ya know? The Italian's have something going on with that al dente' stuff. After having it that way I can never go back to mush. Oh and Barilla brand pasta is my fave if I am not eating whole grain.
I love to make home made pasta with my pasta machine! OMG once you have this you will hate to buy the boxed stuff! My fav is angle hair.....mmmmm so yummy!!!
Brown rice bowties....makes a wicked good cold pasta salad by adding roasted veggies and some organic dressing (Annie's - I love the Goddess one) and letting it sit overnight in the ice box.......For hot pasta I love the whole wheat angel hair with homemade tomato / basil sauce...yum!
