Mine has got to be the supine twist, or whatever you call it. This one: 10 Beginner Friendly Yoga Poses to Relieve Back Pain and Strengthen Your Back - Ergonomic Trends It's so relaxing, and I can really feel the stretching all along my sides. Helps with bowel movements too
favorite to do, or favorite to watch a woman do? no really, it's the one where the spammer gets banned.
now that was funny there is zero doubt in my mind that yoga (intense stretching) can have some dynamic benefits especially for athletes (reduce injuries, make one's body more elastic) but it is a PAINFUL exercise regiment for those of us that are not terribly flexible
I dont know why you would describe yoga as intense stretching. There is a huge misconception that yoga is all stretching. And there is themisconception that yoga is easy or relaxing or that its restorative / good for recovery or easy days. Its also strength and it is also an ass kicker. The unfortunate thing is that where I live, many people do acro yoga, but dont do other yoga because of thos misconceptions. They look at acro yoga as "advanced" and regular yoga as easy. They have no idea how wrong they are, and they are missing out on a lot. One prominent member of the local acro scene told me with this flippant attitude that they dont do headstand. Yeah, thats because you spend all your time in acro and not balancing your whole body building the foundation to be able to do headstand. Another prominent acro yoga person told me they would come to my class one day because they need to do more restorative work for their body. Well, dont expect that to be what you get in my class. "Sleepy yoga" is what she thinks yoga is. There is also "wake the fuck up" yoga.
Eka pada bakasana to bakasana to eka pada bakasana on the other side. Maybe throw in a headstand in the middle
Tree pose. The concept of standing tall... Trees sway. You don't have to be rigid, but instead flexible. Sway with the wind, don't break.
