I often find myself fantasizing about being in a band as I'm sure many here do. I fantasize about the music, the lights, the venue, my role in the band, the fans, atmosphere, whatever. Most of the time (being a mandolin player myself) I'm kickin out mad licks like my man Michael Kang of the String Cheese Incident. My band is a quintet called "The Diviner Vibe Station". Hey the cheesier the better. So the question is: whats your fantasy band called? What kind of music do you play? What kind of venues do you visit? What instrument do you use to hyptnotize the fans? Lets go crazy here. Peace
This wasn't my idea, a friend of mine played in a band called "Betty's Not a Vitamin". Sounds stupid, but it's cute when you realize what it means. Next time you open a bottle of Flintstone's Vitamins, you'll know... If I were in a band, it would be called "Sally and People Who Know Sally" (because I don't know anyone named Sally). I'd definitely want to play the electric triangle. I'd have a stack of Marshalls this high, I'd wear a sequined cape and have a fog machine strapped to my back. Anyone wanna buy tickets?
Without a doubt. Plenty of acid and rhubarb pie (for people who don't do acid). The Diviner Vibe Station can co-headline, and at the end we can all do "We Are the World". Followed by a 20-min triangle solo...
I'm in a band. We are known as The Chum. We are singularly the most hard-rocking garage band in existance.
there was the 'flying penguin'... then there was 'leftover chicken'... now its just 'um... we dnt really have a name...' yeah.
I like "Jesus and the Disciples". It's kinda hard to dance at a Christian folk festival though. good name none the less.
i play in a band called The Unspoken Things. A Psychedelic garage rock thing. www.theunspokenthings.net but i really want to be in a band called The Lemonade Pocketwatch. in homage to bands like the strawberry alarm clock and the chocolate watchband.
i play in Crawling Kingsnake, named after the John Lee Hooker song, were an electric blues and stonerrock band - www.crawlingkingsnake.bravehost.com. but always have wanted to start a band called Stone Roach or Swampthing. best name ever - dick delicious and the tasty testicles.
With my first band we played just in a garage from 2001 to 2003 was THE BUTTERFLEYES (in choose the name) we just were learnin how to play without a lot of talent. And since summer 2004 i join a band as 6th element and they change their name because they were a fresh band (just formed 6 month ago ) and their original name was The Pictures (not very original) so now the bands (i found our new name) is called THE SCARECROW'S BARON , we still learnin and we play a lot of jam...we played in 2 parties for friend in the beg of the year with a real smog as companion!... I sing in some songs as 2nd singer & i play percussion or sometimes as second or third guitarist (for solo mainly...this is my tour de force!) We are just a good time band without maybe enough will to play in concert...maybe it will come soon Last Week a friend told me that i'm inspired for band's name , and he want me to find some names for his band...but i've got no idea for the moment!
Some friends and I also came up with some bandnames recently, the one I liked most was Farting wizard.
My band's name is Floyd Soul And The Wolf. Well they're just called The Wolf, and I'm Floyd. Another band I'm in is called Jilted Stranger.
Cool i found a name for my friend who ask me to find something for him . He play like me a sort of psychedelic rock, but less psychedelic than me but maybe...THE RAINBOW SURFERS is maybe fine ? What do u think of that ?
myself and a friend have planned out a lot of things for our band. like five song titles, i don't have them present though. also the album title, but we're: judy and the milktoast just a bunch of excuses to use inside jokes.
i was hunting for a name one day and this chick i was with got a message on her phone that said '420', so she messaged back and sent '240' cause she and i were out at the bar drinkin, so my band (I do play in a band) will be called '240 oz' or just '240'
