What's with the hate

I know this is a free speech forum, but what I am trying to understand is what is it that attracts people filled with hate and anger to a hippie site.
I have read a lot of posts lately that spew hate against Jews, immigrants, Orientals etc. And other posts that espouse violence and rage.
To get this world to change, we need more tolerance, more peace, nonviolent protest, and more love.
Maybe I am just a freaking kook, but that is my take on it.

well all i can say is go your own way and keep on truckin' there are a lot of ignorant people in this world. but each person has a good side and a dark side.

holy christ. The Germans were being attacked by the Jew and their propaganda?!?!?!?!? either this guys an insensitive biggot, or he ment to say Nazis instead of Jews, and how do you compare hindus to nazis. wtf. he also seems to think all Germans were nazis when 75% of them opposed Hitler

i havent seen what ur sayin, but i think alot of none hippies join this place just stir up shit cause they dont understand us, i can get a little mean if someone bad mouths a band i like, but after i say something stupid back i feel like a sell out. i dont know what was said but it shouldent have been said here.

ever heard of the term wolf in sheep's clothing? Being a "hippie" or identifying yourself as one doesn't automatically make you one. It's a whole mind set and everything man. Wake up dude, there are hateful people everywhere. Where have you been, and can I come?

im somewhat new to the site and i know exactly what you are talking about. ive seen things go as far as people attacking 14 year olds simply for their age. another rather hateful argument over circumcision of all things. and im so glad i found this tread because i was thinking the same thing. what drew me to this sight was the fact that its a hippie sight and i thought i could find other people that are against all the hate, but i guess you cant control who is allowed to use the internet..to bad. more love people. lots more love.

yea, i also have noticed this same thing... i think its either happeing because non- hippies are joining and saying these hateful thinkgs because thwy dont understand us, or there are alot people who identify themselves as hippies, but are truly and completly hippies.... whatever the cause, the world in general needs more love and peace

 

it gets really annoying when people that just want to stir things up come on here and start saying mean things :l
and rebelfight, i know that i should just ignore it, but sometimes they go too far, and say things that are just way too cruel and offensive. But that happens everywhere.

I was in health class the other day and we were talking about overweight people. And i have a few boys in my class that think they just know EVERYTHING, and they were saying that if they were overweight they would be disgusted with themselves, wouldn't be able to live with themselves and just continued saying things like that. I was the only person that actually said something to make them stop saying things like that, because they werent being considerate of the others in the class. There was a girl sitting next to me, who was quite overweight and i could just feel her cringing, looking down at the table and looking out the window to pretend she wasnt paying attention.

That has nothing to do with hipforums ^^ but i thought id add it, because the reason they were doing it was to make the kids in class that saw themselves as fat would feel bad, they also say mean things about them when they arent there.

this world definetely needs more love :l

if there are kids that are so cruel when they are 14, they might grow up to be 10 times worse.

ohhh :l see it happens everywhere :l people who do that and just spread hate need to find something better to do with their time. They must not have very happy lives if they are so negative to others :S who knows

The reason that makes me sad the most. Is because people who aren't all strictly "love america or hang" have never said anything horrible about people who are. but those who "are Support the president even if he bombs Wisconsin" say the most horrible things about us.

 

People think alot of things.

At least they think.

Imagine a world in which people just act, without thinking.
