whats with everyone and pipes?

When i first started smoking last year... grade 9 , all i used was a pipe.. now iv learned to use either a glass bong , waterbottle bong, joint. I hate using pipes.. they seem so custy and harsh to smoke from .. i hate it... i cough alot when i smoke in general and pipes are just ew they give me this nasty falvor in my mouth and i hate it... does anyone else agree with me??

no matter where i look i see people toking off pipes... like hey maybe my pipe was a cheap one becasue it was it was a metal 15$ pipe and i also had a glass 10$ pipe... but still... i just dont understand why people use pipes... buy a bill piece (down pipe) and just take a waterbottle and make a bong if you are so desperate

maybe someone can just tell me a good reason ... DONT get me wrong i have NOTHING against pipes...basicly anything you can use to smoke herb with is perfect for me just pipes are not my first choice if i have other ways of enjoying herb .. may it be a wonderfull spliff or bong...

 

hmn... ive never smoked from a pipe before, but i dont want one either, they too seem a bit weird. i dunno i guess its cuz u dont need anything for it, like pipes can fit in ur pocket so their portable aswell as all you need is herb and a lighter so less hassle but im really not sure....

 

I use a small glass pipe.
Simple to clean (soak overnight in rubbing alcohol), cheap (like $15), but the main advantage if you get more highs off your weed smoking from a pipe.

Smoking a joint wastes weed, smoking a blunt or spliff is a monumental waste of weed.

If you smoked from a dirty metal pipe I can see why you put pipes down. Get a small glass piece and start getting high more often at no extra cost.

 

I love my glass pipes. Joints are alright every now and then but as Ranger mentioned you don't fet as high from the same amount of weed. If we are just smoking around the house and there is a group of us, we'll usually use some sort of water piece be it bong or bubbler. The portability of those pieces is very limited which is why the pipe is nice. I've never used a water bottle bong and don't ever plan on it.

 

Pipes are my favorite. I hate joints and blunts because they are way too harsh on the throat. But yeah pipes in my opinion are the best to smoke some pot out of .

I don't even get what you're trying to say. You're saying pipes are crap, and you want to hear a good reason why people use them? Portable, cheap, effective, not time consumin(as in rolling a joint).

Why would I buy a bill piece and carry a bottle around with me when I can very simply whip a pipe out my pocket? It's nonsensical how you said "buy a bill piece (down pipe) and just take a waterbottle and make a bong if you are so desperate." I'd rather not make a bong on-the-go, and why the fuck would someone choose to do this if they're desperate, as apposed to using a pipe, instead?

Ranger, why would a spliff(assuming you mean weed rolled with tobacco) be a monumental waste as apposed to a joint(assuming you mean just weed) being wasteful? Surely pure green is alot more wasteful, than mixed with tobacco, no?

 

I do enjoy water bongs...and joints...
But I am very fond of my glass pipes most of all.
I mean, it's easy, clean, portable, I can savor my weed a little more...

However I do believe in mixing things up. Bong some days, pipe others, joint others...Keeps things slightly more interesting.

 

most of the time i use the gravity bong because that is the ultimate way to get the most high for the smallest amount of herb. but my favorite way to smoke is definitely glass bong. pipes are cool too for on the go, like in the car or at the beach.

maybe u preffer a crappy waterbottle cause 1 your used to crappy pipes & 2 your used to crappy weed?

aditionaly with a nice glass, i packit
7 just take a hit now &then, & it just lasts..with a joint or blunt, i'd waste 3-4 times as much, & would last 1/10 as long
ipreffer to just pack a bowl, take a couple hits & set it aside..& then u always got a pipe waiting packed & ready
so reasons
convienience, taste, economy (using less) , portability, hideability, enjoyabiity (bongs suck ass..& some ppljust dont have the ungs to smoke em) & easy..just pack & go

 

I prefer joints over all else.. but my husband and I hand roll our cigarettes, so it takes us, literally, less than 10 seconds (after the weed is busted/cut up) to roll a joint.

I like bongs because they're way nicer to smoke out of than pipes, and we have a triple-chamber that gets you incredibly baked. It has a medium-sized bowl and usually, everybody that's smoking (whether they have their own or we're sharing weed) gets enoughto pack a bowl and smoke it to themselves as fast as they can. Gets you super stoned, and we have a gas mask that gets you even MORE stoned 'cause you can't get fresh air until you finish the bowl. We have a tiny bong (it holds about an ounce of water) that we use as our oil/hash pipe.

I don't like plain (dry/no water) pipes because they burn the shit out of your throat. We'll use them occasionally, but there's never any real reason to because joints are more convenient (we can roll superfast, and we can smoke them while he's driving, while we're walking, etc.) and if we're at home, packing a bowl in a bong is just as easy as packing a bowl in a pipe.

i love glass pipes. i mainly smoke out of pipes, even outside. i also love the artwork on the glass. you just don't get that artistic quality out of a joint or blunt haha.

and with the glass pipe, you dont' waste the weed.

I like pipes but I know what you're saying. They're basically the most convinient thing to use for a quick toke, you don't have to break anything up, add water or that kinda shit, and they're portable. I prefer blunts, joints, bongs, and bubblers though.

seriously carrying somthing around with you that smells/you just smoked out of is fuckin dirty, i wouldnt be caught dead carying a pipe around on me, or even in my car

I love my glass pipe; I just absolutely love it. It cuts down on wasted weed and tastes tasty. I've not a whole hell of a lot of lung capacity, so pulling back on a bong is a rare occassion for me. Also, with the pip I find I can time my hits just right. However my boyfriend's crazy about his joints, and being as we share our weed it's been officially declared that a bowl packed with roaches is just spanktastic.

Not to mention how little and cute and easily concealable the lovely bit is.

for me man, toking is toking. but i personally love pipes. They are really portable or at least fairly portable. The first thing i toked from was a glass pipe so its kinda nostalgic (even tho it was only a year ago lol). They are just nice and easy and cant look awesome. Bongs, bubblers, anything with water, are great cuz its so smooth and u can get some awesome rips but the water can b an annoyance. Joints, Blunts, nothing against them.. especially blunts...

 

man i love glass anything and it conserves a lot and sometimes its jsut better to have a little spoon when your one the road or going to be at multiple places
