I'm just curious to know them! The longest French word is anticonstitutionellement, which means, basically, in-a-way-that-is-against-the-constitution I don't even know what's the longest English word! I have to know!
In Germany, there is no longest word - you can combine as much nouns as you want by just hanging them one to another, for example, Donaudampfschifffahrtsgesellschaftsgeschäftskostenüberprüfungsbeauftragter would mean "Person in charge of the controlling of the business money at the Danube steam shipping society" - you can play that game without an end (I see there's a space between "..kosten" and "über..." - don't know why, it should all be one word )
wow... that's IMPOSSIBLE to pronounce!! It's really huge. I wonder what's the longest word of the world...
As I said, there's at least one language (->German) in whcih you can combine as much words as you want, so there's no longest word
wow... that's IMPOSSIBLE to pronounce! It's really huge. I wonder what's the longest word of the world...
cekoslavakyalilastiramadiklarimizdan misiniz? which means: are you among the ones that we have failed to make czechoslavakian. ops, just searched the net and found this one: muvaffakiyetsizleþtiricileþtiriveremeyebileceklerimizdenmiþsinizcesine (70 letters) it means smthng like: it looks as if you are one of the people that we may fail to render unsuccessful.
I googled and I found the following: The longest word of the world still in use is the Swedish Sparrangsaktiebolagsskensmutsskjutarefackföreningspersonalbeklädnadsmagasinsförradsföraltaren with 93 letters In German, it has 83 letters and means Trambahnaktiengesellschaftsschienenreinigergewerkschaftsbekleidungsmagazinverwalter I'll try to translate it in English, it means something like "Person in charge of the cloth depot of the tram(streetcar?)-corporation's rail-cleaner labour union"
lol it's insane... it's so incredibly long, I don't know how people can actually remember how to spell those words! It would be more simple if they cut it into several little ones
Lopadotemachoselachogaleokranioleipsanodrimhypotrimmatosilphioparaomelitokatakechymenokichlepikossyphophattoperisteralektryonoptekephalliokigklopeleiolagoiosiraiobaphetraganopterygon that appears in a greek play by Aristophanes..its 170 letters long..but its a combination of like 18 ingredients that make up one dish. There are also a lot of scientific words that that have hundreds of letters, but i dont know if i'd consider those real words.
The longest chemical word has 1913 letters but I couldn't yet figure out what it exactly is... but it is a combination, and as we said this can't really count. I just found a webiste who wants to create the longest German word, it can be found here http://arminundivo.ch/cgi-bin/lw.pl and has 20024 (!!!) letters, but as far as I can see it doesn't make sense any more
As if that conversation had taken place in real life. Like you tell that word and the guy u talkin to says i peg yo pardon? then u gotta repeat it and about the suffix: Lehrer Lehrerin (note that this word is longer)
