What's the longest time

you've left your dogs home alone?

 

Maybe four or five hours? She'd be fine for longer however I don't think it's really fair to leave her on her own for so long.. Luckily though, Tim works from home a lot or he can just take her to work with him so it's not really an issue when I'm in uni or at work. If we know we're gonna be out for a lot longer we'll just take her to "the grandparents"

 

A day.. if he pooped in the house,, Oh well.. I wouldnt be mad..

I hardly leave my pet unattended for very long much anymore these day...Im always home

 

a week, but I had someone taking him out and coming over to play with him.

without anyone here at all? probably like 12 hours.

 

7 hours with no one home, and my dog used to do that everyday of the school week

 

yeah, never more than 10-12 hours without at least running back to let him go outside and relieve himself once in a while, and to check on his food and water dishes.

 

I work away from home 5 days a week. My sister is home pretty much all the time. She has left them alone for about 13, 14 hours, and the blue heeler is good about not doing her business in the house, but my little ones go if they feel the need. The boys will pee stuff regardless if they're let out or not. My girls will ask to be let out, and if they arent, then they do their business right by the door.
we were supposed to go to the cabin this weekend, and she was gonna leave the dogs indoors for two and a half days. I refuse to do that to them. I will be staying home. nobody, especially my kids dont deserve to be forced to be locked away for that long. not to mention how it would have smelled. Ew.

Actually, if dogs are in a daily rhythm and get out enough before and after, and gets it's food on time it is generally perfectly alright to let them alone in the house during the day for at least 8 hours. Yes, yes, there are exceptions.

 

Seriously? That's kinda fucked up, she doesn't sound like a very good dog owner at all.

 

I know. Thats why Im staying home. she used to be so good to my kids.
Then she went and had a kid and got married.
It makes me sad because she used to dote on my kids so much. they were all she cared about because she was alone.
Ive gotten into arguments with her over neglecting my kids.
she made the commitment ten years ago to have 3 dogs, and now she doesnt care for them. Its Bullshit. Its super sad.
I spoil my kids when Im home, and she doesnt get it anymore. It makes me want to cry.

 

Not cool. But hey at least your doggies still have you to pamper them. Every dog deserves that.

I know. I make it a point to spoil my kids when Im home. They are used to being indoors, loved on, cuddled with. They love being on the bed, especially with pillows all over. My powder loooves pillows.
I buy them cookies and give em the whole bag in two days.
I spoil the blue heeler too. she is about 35 pounds, and she thinks she is a lap dog.
I love the shit out of my kids.
Its so sad that she doesnt care as much anymore. she throws them outside all day. I bought them a doggie bed to sleep in at night in the kitchen and she put it outside and they sleep on a towel. It pissed me off man.
when I move out on my own, Im gonna take my kids with me. Fuck her.

 

Haha, that's cute My dog is about 50 pounds and she's the same, she would just curl up on your lap and sleep there all day. Then she gets grumpy when you tell her to get down. What breeds are your other doggies?

 

Bebe is a mini-pincher. Powder, banky and venus are min-pin chihuahua mutts. Roxy is a blue heeler. they're 11, 9, 7, 7 and 4 respectively.
I miss my kids. There's pics of em in the pets forums. I think the thread is called my brood or something. lol

Just talk to your neighbor and ask them if they will occasionally go over to your house and let the dog out/fill the food and water bowl. then give them like 5 bucks when you get back
