What's the coolest thing that has happened to you lately?

It doesn't have to be impressive to anyone else, I just want to hear what experiences you've had recently that are exciting to you.

I went on a little trip with my friend (who is also my boss, motherfucking score) and her daughter and grandson and a few other friends met us there. We stayed in Oklahoma at a small lake in a house just up the road from a beach. Anyway, it was an awesome little place, the lake was beautiful, it had water (technically I live in a lake house myself, but the lake in this area's all dried up), and I just was in love with the little small towns all around. It was a great couple of days getaway. Anyway, the cool happening to me was getting to see the snakes swimming under the fishing dock at the boat ramp a short distance from the house. I have been wanting to see a snake all summer, dead or alive, wherever, I don't care. They scare the bejeezus out of me, but I love seeing them anyway. That night there were at least 3 out there and they said the night before they found about 4 under there. I kind of live under a rock, so I've never seen a snake swim before and it was really exciting. It was also fucking terrifying because that dock was about 12 feet above the water, so I was dealing with my fear of heights while snakes were swimming underfoot.

 

Recently I got 50million likes on my bizness page...it's actually getting to be a bit annoying but it's nice to see what my reach is...

Also, I survived a sleep paralysis type of dream in a different way than usual. I would normally freak out and try to wake up, but this time i was like "this is trippy" and just made myself relax and take deep breaths. I felt that I had gone into the void and felt this connection with myself as a very, very young barely speaking human.

Also, I woke up this morning...that's pretty cool.

Oh actually, what's really cool is this guy that was interested in me looks to me for relationship advice now, which is great cause I was never interested in him and it's nice to think that sometimes guys will be your friend even if they don't want anything from you on an intimate level. I've been dropped from the friends list of too many guys once they either get a gf or realize I don't want to be with them in the way they want...and I really just appreciate friendship.

 

I wiped my own ass this morning!

 

I found 40 euro's in the park early this week. Me and my friend were both pretty broke and were complaining before that we wanted to chill in the sun all week (it was the first really hot week here in the netherlands this summer) but lacked funds for weed and beer. Guess what we've been doing all afternoons so far :biggrin:

 

A finch landed on my shoulder yesterday.

 

I had been trying out a new way to wear a scarf on my head - african inspired (really to cover my roots but what the hell).Anyway I was in the market where a friend of mine works and his exact words were that I looked ethereal. He has very little English and we always converse in Spanish so this was a double piece of joy.
1 he used a not very often used word in English
2 he has no idea whatsoever what my internet handle is!
Let's just say that every scarf I own (and there are LOTs) has been produced to try with different clothes and with slight twists on the original idea!

I love when birds and butterflies land on me...so cool.

Also, nothing better than finding someone else's money on the ground and using it for entertainment money.

Well yeah, I was aware someone had a bad day unfortunately but not because I picked it up (someone else would have too) and it made our week. We were cursing like mofo's by the way. It was folded so I picked it up and put it in my pocket. Then we walked along the path and I said it felt a bit thicker than just one piece of paper so I'm gonna check it. Then we saw there was a second 20 euro bill in it and we went pretty crazy hahaa.

 

I took a day trip to the mountains and found some new swimming holes.

 

Which mountains?

 

Great Smoky Mountains, between Tennessee and North Carolina.

 

I knew it...I effin love that area.

 

After about a 2-year couch potato layoff, I started excercising again, and after just a couple of weeks I feel so much better than I had been feeling! Also, it's blistering hot here, and I'm just happy my air conditioning is working.

 

I'm so lucky to be here. I live 20 minutes from Townsend and 30 from Cades Cove, if you've every been to either. It's beautiful.

 

I had an ultrasound and found out my baby is healthy and beautiful.

 

that's cool. i saw my friend at the grocery store and he said i look like i'm in my underwear.

 

I met a person that I only knew from a forum

and its an accomplishment because im shy as heck in real life and always avoid meeting new people ...so meeting an internet person was like ten fold worse than usual..but i did it and im glad I did

 

same here..ive been sick for 2 years but started feeling better so now im working more and trying to get in exercise
