Yah I don't understand people's problem with the word either.

It's a fairly unassuming word, it rhymes with hoist and pretty close to choice? Both which seem benign.

I wonder if it's a case of cultural memeticism or if there legitamely is some sort of emotive-linguistic phenomena that goes on for many people when they hear the word.
