Yay! Bank finally came through.
Irmi is now refinanced.

Time for a holiday.

 

first serious rain marking the end of summer, like it was a light switch, which is not uncommon here abouts.

it did however have a much unfortunate effect on at least one participant and his plane at the air show.
fortunately no one died or was seriously injured, but the plane, an experimental light s.t.o.l., was totaled.

 

I have been emailed a proof for my book cover, but my phone can't handle looking at it. I'm really impatient to go home to my laptop all of a sudden.

 

My daughter has 28 more days until her due date.

The baby already weighs 7lbs. 2ozs.

He was making duck lips for his selfie this morning.

I just caught a whiff of the cologne my high school boyfriend wore. Crazy how your brain remembers scents so well

 

It seems more acute than the other senses. Usually there are brief moments to prepare for taste and touch and I think that Sight and Sound are relied on by the conscious mind so frequently, that there is more of a habituation to stimuli or to put it another way, the memories they elicit often don't feel quite as intense.

Generally speaking, Women rely on sense of smell more than men, I'm not sure how much that plays into memory store and retrieval though.

 

It's because it's happening in a more primative area of the brain, I thought.

 

It's not happening entirely in a primitive part of the brain but it does and that part is associated with emotions too, so that plays a large part.

I'm still around.

I've been super busy with my daughter and helping her with the 11 year old grandson's practices and games. She's miserably pregnant now.

Also, I've been working my buttocks (nearly) off listing items on Ebay and Etsy. I'm still have a little money roll in almost daily now.

My body is tripping. The lower back and legs think they are going to just give completely out on me but...they will not fail me. They are too vital to the care-taking of my new grandson so I completely refuse their efforts to go out from under me.

I'm about to call it a day on the resale listing. I'll walk Emma again and then set myself up with HFs on the tablet while I'm in front of Netflix.

 

Did I mention that the daughter lives on the second floor of the apartment building?

It's 19 steps straight up with no middle landing or turn.

Sheeesh...I need to get up from this desk and go stretch mine and Emma's legs.

 

Just helped warehouse crew unload a van. I was in van. Guy I was working with dropped one side of a case. I was holding the other.

Backs fucked.

Not bad yet but when it cools down its going to be significant.

 

Today was National Cheeseburger Day. I did my duty, with a side of fries and coleslaw.

 

Pretty sure every day is "National ____________ Day"... Nobody cares.
