our farm isn't in the photo, that's more to the left. i live in the north east corner so just a quick walk down the road and then boof! forest. it's also the more modern neighborhood which is why its tucked to the side lol, although i have the red roof, our render isn't "classic" enough for tourism. :p

    which one? and yes! :D

Some of them do have farms bordering like the small one but always kayaks etc. wizzing around.
That's the kind of water you can just swim and drink from at the same time. :) but honestly, it's way too cold lol. i like finding the ponds and streams in the forest, secluded stuff from the snowmelts.

similar to denver in a way with their Mt Evans is it? the peak in the distance always snow, not much different to our Karwendel range.

Yesterday I got the last of "Dad's trees" planted... 3 Flowering Dogwood. Last year sometime he donated to the Arbor Day Foundation and he got ten "free trees"... (They aren't free if you have to pay for them and bare sticks with a few roots shipped in a plastic bag are hardly trees.)

They also shipped them late last year and they froze in the bag sitting outside his front door. I ended up turning them in temporarily in the back patio garden for the winter and some of them made it, a few didn't. This last week or so I put 2 Hawthorn in the backyard, 2 Crabapple out front and the 3 Dogwood at the edge of the meditation garden.

Hopefully the deer leave them alone... My deer will eat just about anything. (except what I would want them to eat, like invasive species)

Dogwoods are my favorite. A previous owner here lined the yard with them. Thank you, previous owner

But he also planted rhodedendrum around the base of an oak tree and ugh, thats a nightmare.

I've noticed the ants too .and the growth is just out of control and because i cant really do much with all the earth around it, the oak growth and briars are out of control too. I'm gonna do the same, i thought about transplanting it but will probably just kill it because i'm lazy

If its far from your house, you might be ok. But they were really close to mine, and the black carpenter ants migrated to the porch. When I tore that off, its was an ant farm of rotten wood.

I've earned $14 on the stock market in 2 days. Which is a lot because i only have $250 invested. The first thing i learned from playing the stock market is you dont really make money on it unless you invest the big bucks

But here i am $14 richer. Livin' the dream. Thanks solar power

Maybe about 15 years ago, I made a couple thousand dollars with a very small investment in Sketchers.
