What's Happening???

the problem i have with rap and country both, is that most, not by any means all, but most, seem to romantacize aggressiveness.
why is this a problem? because anger and hatred, which aggressiveness generate, create tyranny.
this is how and why there is this tolerance, even encoragement, toward fascism, and all the evils that travel with it.

now i'm not saying the music is the only cause, at least some of it is the other way around, being a symptom and part of the result.
the short version at any rate, is that hatred and anger are precisely what we, any one, any nation, any culture, don't need.

and yes the same problem exists with 'metal' and whatever it's become balkanized into as well.

 

its like a mini-vacation, for most of us who can't afford to take real ones.
at least for me, its like a visit to a parallel universe.
that doesn't require any chemical assistance to get there either.
just not being robbed of it by the inconsiderate.

I followed the recent discussion that started again in there recently and to be fair it came to its lowest point when people started posting in there that weren't interested in discussing the topic, but just repeatedly wanted to point that out. And of course shit on the people that do want to discuss it.

 

Well sometimes it's comforting to express simple truisms. For example I had a bread roll today that was delicious just by itself.

We won our pool match by the exact score we needed to make Playoffs. But. We needed a team to lose and they didn't so we are out.

I'm thankful tbh. I gotta get off the table for a month and regroup.

Now I'm about to go to the track. Yay! Gonna go do 10 laps at snail pace.
