We don't have Safety Inspection like we use to. We only have Emission Testing, now.

There is a notorious bridge for people jumping to their suicide over a motorway here in Worcestershire UK, a kind of "lover's leap," if you will. Anyway this wonderful woman took it upon herself to spend a whole month producing the most beautiful and artistically embellished notes to the suicides, in which were messages of hope and support for these people who consider and in many cases enact the taking of their own lives. She pinned scores of them to the railings and amazingly enough the suicide rate from people jumping from this bridge decreased. But then Worcestershire council removed the notes because they said they were proving a distraction to motorists passing below the bridge, and could have resulted in crashes. There may have been some truth to this but who is right? Which would ensure the saving of the most lives. This is an example of the "differend" at work, which is a phrase borrowed from critical theory which describes a situation where both parties, usually in a political context, are essentially "right" when the argument is viewed from either side's particular perspective.

 

Thats amazing. The rest of the story...eh. But what an extraordinary woman!

 

I cant stop watching this. Someone please for the love of god give these fellas a sitcom. They dont seem real, they seem like characters

My son found more damage from the trees falling on the house -

the vent pipe for the septic tank and the drain pipe from one of the showers. That shower has been draining straight into the dirt in the crawl space.
