There was some discussion of this in another thread and it made me curious. I found this link: http://average-rent.findthedata.org/ For my zip code, they say a 1 bedroom apartment goes for $830 and 2 bedroom apartment goes for $920, average. I think $950 was about as low as I could find the last time I looked for a two bedroom for my daughter. If there are super low priced ones they are old and established; they aren't available and have long waiting lists. Anyway, I thought it might be fun to compare prices in different areas with some other HF's.
Dallas, Texas here, you can get a 2 bedroom for as little as 600 or as much as 2200, it all depends on the area. I recently moved out of an oddly arranged duplex/studio with one bed one bath but it was in a great location and ran me 975 a month, water paid.
 My city isn't listed. There were 2 listings for my zip but they wouldn't apply... I haven't rented in over 10 years so I really don't know what it would be. This city I live in has more empty places than occupied rentals but that doesn't bring the price down...
For my city a one bedroom is 610 and a 2 bed is 770. I have a one bedroom that is much less but I have been here 23 years. We did get a new landlord in January so things might change.
a one bedroom here in MA is around $750 according to that site...but I've seen 2 bedrooms go for $650...I think that site goes based on the high class complexes in the area.
Yes, it varies widely here too, but that is why the thread is "average". The lowest anywhere for anything in San Diego County is probably $600/month. It could go lower if it's really out in the country and very bad condition. The highest is unspeakable!!! There is so much beach and high end areas.
Anywhere from 500-900 for a one bedroom. When I was looking for a rental house I found two bedrooms ranging anywhere from 600-1500 depending on the part of town. Luxury two bed apartments downtown go for around 1500 but you can rent a house with a yard in the same area of town for 600-800 a month. The rental market is ridiculous right now because no one is buying
that site's fucked up right now. it comes up for a second, then keeps trying to redirect me to something that won't load. in my town, rent is probably about 300-550 for a one bedroom or 400-700 for a two in most places. there's only a couple of high end places and the rest are ghetto to average. if you want a nice place around here, you buy a house. i'm currently paying 465 (heat included) for a one bedroom. i would consider this place slightly below average in quality overall, but slightly above average for what's around here.
couple grand a month for a decent place....900 for a dumpy place with welfare neighbors who have 10 kids and 5 dogs
£800-£1000 for a 2 bedroom house. This is one of the most expensive areas in England apart from London. Up in the north it's vastly different. It would be £500 maximum for the same deal in some counties.
yeah..it totally blows my mind to see houses for sale in the states for 12 grand...up here anything less than 150,000 is pretty well considered an "as-is" fixer-upper ..quarter million gets a decent one
