    2012

Thats been running through my mind for a while. Not sure if i should look forward to it or dread it. Is it good or bad? That question roams in my mind constantly. Would i be more fortunate if i died or lived?

Whats a young man to do? Not just me, but everyone in my generation, and the younger ones?

For most of my peers, come 2012, most will graduate from college. Yet all that time and money will be wasted if the shit relaly hits the fan.

So, now what, shoudl we be making long term plans? Or completly living everyday in absolute spontaneity?

I plan on getting my associates and maybe working in the fire department in a cool city, chill and save money for land to buy a farm one day.

But 2012 looms over the horizon. What shall i do? What can my entire generation do? Be it to survive the changing times, or to maybe prevent the ominous events fortold by many.

Or is there anything we can do? Anything at all?

Continue living life as you would. Be happy, make the most of it all, take risks, have no regrets. No matter what happens, good or bad, at least you'll know that you lived the best you could while you did. And if nothing happens at all, at least you'll know that you still prepared for your future and can still accomplish your dreams.

On the positive side of things, if the entire human race is somehow wiped off the face of this earth I'm sure it would be better in many ways without us. (Minus our ability to contemplate, create (art) and love.

People have been predicting the end of the world basically since civilization began. Don't worry about petty things like this, even if the world was sure to end in 2012 (which we can't be sure of until it gets here), then why should we complain? That's not to say it's our "destiny" or "fate" it's just that would be something we have no control over (unless of course global warming or our lack of compassion towards life in general causes it). So there is something you can do, just go about living your life. Take every day as it comes, trust me life will be MUCH more interesting if you don't over concern yourself with what tomorrow holds.

in 2000 planes were going to fall out of the sky because computers didn't know what century it was. somehow i didn't quite see the connection there. now the world is going to end because some calender does? somehow i kindof have my doubts.

there ARE things going down, but odds are just as good the good things as bad will emerge when the dust settles.

much of what is taken for mysterious forces beyond our comprehension generally turns out to be our individual reaping of what we have togather collectively sowen, in the sense of the incetives we togather create by the things we individually don't often think about.

the phrase "world ending" sounds dramatic, perhapse a bit emo melodramatic. meaning detectable from usage: nearly nil, owing to excessive ambiguousity.

things will chainge. yes things will chainge. because things are ALWAYS chainging. so?

consider positioning yourself adventageously in relation to things that can be expected to, not because of some big whoopdie do, but on the basis of observable trends.

2012 is as good a year as any for several of them to converge, but don't hold your breathe or get too disappointed if they don't either.

as pointed out in similar threads, we've had other and more dramatic, earthshaking years in the past, some of which things really did happen on, most of which went by without most people noticing or being imediately affected in any way by their doing so.

whatever mysterious forces beyond our comprehension might exist, and i see no reason to assume they can't or don't, nothing that does makes anything any less up to us, then it would be if they did not.

the're good for lots of things, nice friends and harmless hugs, maybe the're important too, so be nice to them, but the incentives we togather create, still motivate the conditions we individually experience.

I would sure love to learn how the Mayans calculated the worlds end in 2012 and why. But unfortunately most written records kept by the Mayans were destroyed by Cortez because much of it was considered, hmmm, complacent to Christianity.

don't worry about 2012. Odds are nothings gonna happen. Worry more about nuclear war and global warming. Those things will probably affect us much more than 2012. And yeah im the same age as you so i know what you're talking about.

and what about the prospects for authoritarian 1984-esq nation?

its sad how we are pretty much destined to destroy ourselves. Its sad, how, enlightenment is not inherent, or atleast, is not resistant to the influences that cause a person to lose their way, and kill, steal, etc.

Sometimes i think a good pandemic would be needed to level the human race, yet other times, i cannot bear to have anyone die.

    Its quite a quandry.

nuclear war, dystopian authoriative governments, global warming, Gaia's revenge against our faggotry,

its all pretty damn scary. Makes you wanna get off your ass to do something. But there are times when there is nothing you can do, or atleast thats a ever present feeling.

Our government is making questionable decisions every damn day, striping our rights, just as the pace of the ocean eroding an ancient shoreline. So subtle it is unnoticable to the masses.

    My friend,

Personally I went through a pretty wicked conversion process last summer. I realized that there is MUCH more to life then meets the eye. And yes i am reffering to a supernatural force that is greater then the one of man. Ever since this moment in my life I have been on the road to find out "Truth". Of Both Spiritual and material world aspects. In my opinion this all ties in together somehow.

There are somethings I can tell you that I have chosen to accept as universal truth.

ONE-> KARMA. What goes around comes around. Yes 2012 seems to be prophecised by just about every culture to be devestation and doom and many will perish. But perhaps the billions that will be witness their death in this way do so to balance universal karma?

TWO-> NATURAL PATTERNS. The universe operates on very finely tuned and delicatly balanced re-occuring patterns... Look at the moon, the ebb and flow of tides, sunrise and set, photo synthesis, how birds fly south, how fish swim in schools etc etc etc. The whole Nibiru/Planet X thing
is doubt true and does re-occur every 3000 some odd years, but if you look carefully every culture also seems to write a stories about people with superhuman powers being on earth as well i.e.: Hercules for one. So don't automatically assume that if it is written that millions perish every 3000 or so years that there won't be a repeat of mythological lore as well.

THREE-> BE OPEN, BUT QUESTION ESTABLISHMENT. It would appear that the New Age movement is corrupt and playing havoc on said gen X. Be careful for this ... I almost fell in the trap my friend. The name of the project is project Blue Beam. I have a funny feeling that much of what has been prophecised will come to be because of this said project. It definitly appears as though the NWO wants to turn demonology into UFO-ology in other words they quite literally want the average joe to think demons of old are aliens. And that our god of old is an alien ... like ET, think about it in the bible, genesis, god puts his finger in the sand and low and behold along comes adam.

That being said, this is no doubt going to be a date to be rememberd for all of time in the history of humanity, will the events be the work of god, of man? who knows!? What are we really up against? The awnser is it doesn't really matter... All you can do is expect the unexpected... and live your life to the fullest with no regrets.

    ;)

    Peace be with you all.

    ~Nika~

people have been "predicting" the "end of the world" since forever, precisely BECAUSE it is the ultimate copout from accepting personal responsibility for the incintives our cultural values and ways of life, statistically add up togather, to create.

(and i'm happy for people who discouver their big invisible friends, and i DO believe there IS something big, friendly and invisible, along with a lot of little friendly and invisibles too, but i ALSO recognize that its/their existence, makes NOTHING any less up to us, then it would be if they didn't, at least nothing in THIS world, life and possibly universe.)
