Minus all the news you hear about us is how it would be. There would have still been slavery among whites because it was in their nature to enslave ppl back in them times to cultivate. But the "N" word would have never been spoken by whites or blacks. There wouldnt be any kkk I would think also. There would still be crime though. How about this question: What would north america be like if whites never came and stole the land away from native americans?
That's not an option as america was to be explored no matter what. But it is in my humble opinion that the almost genocide of the native american was one of historys biggest travesties. It gets no air time like slavery and the holocaust. How did blacks evolve from slavery to gangsta rap? Why do some blacks want to keep the wound of slavery open? Why when given the chance to go back to thier homeland, did they choose to stay?
Blacks have been kept as a product of their surroundings because we have gone through (and still are under) struggles in society. In part, that's why there is gangsta rap as a form of musical art. It's art immatating the life style of the mafia. It's just enertainment though. Certain blacks got the gangsta life style from the mafia in real life and from great gangsta movies from back in the day. Who controls the majority of what comes on t.v. news and in the movies? Whites do. The one in control or in power influences things, you know? I think ppl under a struggle are made weak and are subject to being weak minded at times. Now it's time for us blacks to be in control of our own lives somehow and one day onward. It's time for us all to be strang minded, and leave awful influences and slavery behind. I'm saying we still slaves but just not by far anymore. And so we need to defeat the modern day form of slavery going on in this nation that's got a hold over us all. I think anarchy would bring on great change for everyone to be in control of their own lives. One thing I dont understand is why certain whites hate blacks for being here in the U.S.A. when it was their own white distant relatives who brought us here. If anything those whites that hate blacks being here should rather hate the whites who originally brought us here to be slaves in the first place. Hell, call them slave lovers, and hate them and not us I'd say to them.
We're not the kind to lay down and die for nothing. Cowards would only leave when the going gets tough. But we arent cowards by far as a race so it's why we'd rather stay and fight a good fight. We have a good chance to win in victory over racists.
Mafia? LOL...Being Sicilian, i assure you that the gangsta mentality and rapping is no where near the Mafia's. The Mafia doesn't run the streets looking for trouble. The Mafia doesn't bother with anyone but their own. The Mafia has a purpose within themselves. The Mafia doesn't live in ghettos or wear ghetto clothing. Thier war is within not with innocents. Comparing the gangstas and thugs to the Mafia is like comparing apples and oranges. I do not think the blacks staying in the USA was an act of courage what so ever. It was an act of spite, pure and simple. Which i can't blame them for. Just in case you dodn't know, the African leaders gave up only the criminals and the mentally challenged to the Dutch...and furthermore, the Dutch explorers did not go to Africa to look for people to use as slaves...that was an offer by the Africans. Who do blacks think freed them? Are blacks even aware what part of the Civil war was about? Are blacks aware that the Chinese were also used as slaves?
Black ppl back then being mainly poor have got to get cheap what will fit. And like wearing baggy clothing, if you're calling that ghetto, is just a comfortable fit. That's all. Just like the way we give a certain hand shake, it just feels right rather than a regular style hand shake. History you've learned had lies in it I can tell. Offer my ass! Like they came over there with big boats not knowing what they'd find to bring back. They had to be looking for slaves! African leaders couldnt have given up only the criminals and mentally challeged because the whites and Africans didnt speak the same language to even begin any bargainings or offerings. So there could have not been any offerings by the African leaders back then. But if you really believe otherwise then tell me what did the whites pay for the slaves? Africa had gold on it's own so they couldnt have needed anything the whites had to offer. And are you saying africans freed africans by giving them up for another form of slavery by whites? Chinese used as slaves? I'm sure every race had slaves of some kind. And I dont know much about the civil war. What was it about?

By ghetto i mean pants down to the privates...wearing clothing that is 10 times too big...ghetto means mess...looking poor and being poor are 2 diff things...take for instance, some boys in thier tenement, ppl view them as poor because of where they live...they are wearing...$200.00 sneakers, 100.00 jeans, 50.00 shirts, 25.00 hat, and alot of gold chains and a gold tooth...awwwww, poor baby. Listen, didn't you ever see ROOTS? Great series...written by a black man. Sadly there are still ppl like yourself that think all is white controlled...i assure you it is not. Are you poor and oppressed? Have you been the victim of any white crimes committed upon yourself? No one (unless they are criminals) hates blacks because they are black. I feel we could live without Rap, but Blues & Rock & Roll, I'm glad those two surfaced. People don't hate history. They hate their own history. So, seeing that one and one make two, it's hard to imagine such a scenario. Everything happens for a reason.
Back to the original question: What would have happened if black slavery had never been permitted? The plantation economy would have had to face a class struggle between rich whites and poor whites. There could have evolved, in the American South, a master/serf system such as Russia and other European countries knew well. The actual slave would have been replaced by the wage slave. In my opinion wage slavery (where the worker is free to walk away), while not a great system, is better than actual slavery and chains. At the same time, part of the racial strife (white vs black) would have been avoided. African and white American culture have always been very different and not always compatible. There would have been less trouble, then and now, had the blacks stayed in Africa. Some blacks would have come to America voluntarily as free men, and would have made a position in society as honoured citizens, similar to those who came from Japan, China, and Eastern Europe. I doubt that we would now have filthy, angry, rap music. No rap, no crap. Anyway, the blacks are here, and we can all be grateful. Just look at O. J. Simpson and Michael Jackson!
