I would actually clean up this house AND be able to get the yard work done. I look Very Very Very forward to, 4 years from now, retiring at age 62...I do NOT CARE if it is partial retirement. Even getting 70% or 80% ss retirement, I will be able to make it. 24/7 retirement = me
If money wasn't an option I'd like to tour the circuits of Motorsport and other sports I am interested in. Like going to every single race or watching every single game at the home grounds. Something like that. I can't see myself being very productive tbh. I don't really get to experience or enjoy the things I want to in life, don't think things'll change much at retirement. Like I could afford to retire anyway, these days a man can't afford to retire.
I am retired but do not have 24/7 that is all mine. I am a caregiver to my 91 year old Dad. I get things done that need to be done but I am always surprised at how little of other things happen. I procrastinate too much.
exactly what i am doing, and be very thankful for the release from a life of anxiety and insecurity this has finally almost brought me. there has never been enough hours in a day, month or year, for all the things i would like to be doing, even if i had never had to do anything else for my entire life, there would still never have been. even if i had had unlimited resources which i certainly did not. i do spend more then half my time doing things on the computer, because that's something i love. and not all of those are on line. most probably shouldn't be. though that is harmlessly addictive too. and there are things that get in the way of that 24/7 fantasy too. for one, the body requires at least some sleep. and then there's eating, and making something to eat, and buying groceries to make something to eat with, and other little things life requires. i really really enjoy the relief of not having to worry all the time. i really wish there were some way no one would ever have to. and i believe we are capable of creating a world in which no one ever would, or would be, if so many people weren't brainwashed into the belief, that self aggrandizement were somehow more important. and while retired people might be able to have as much free time as they wish, some anyway, the vast majority don't have more resources then to pursue more then a single one of their hobbies, if that, and are soon robbed of even that by medical expenses.
I would be in the midst of nature, enjoying forests, seashores, rivers, lakes and other natural scenery. Would spend a lot of time with dogs, cats and other animals and birds. Might even take birdwatching as a hobby. Would also gather friends with similar interests around too. Looking back, these seem to be the experiences which were most productive of happiness and joy to me and time worthily spent.
use it to create and not destroy. regardless of how simple or sophisticated. that is what i believe to be moral.
Play a lot of golf...In fact given the choice, I would do nothing but. Few will understand this but I've come to find the game of golf fulfills all my artistic, spiritual and intellectual desires.
