u have a long time best friend and they started dealin.. somehow u got dragged into it and the cops dont know ur friend is doin it but they kno u kno who IS doin it and they said u could go to jail for however long or u could rat them and get away with nothing what would u do?
I'd wake up from the dream because I've learned enough now to know how to distance myself from such friends.
technically the cops cant do shit. they cant put you in jail without having some hard evidence. even if they did have a lil bit of evidence that you know about your friend dealing they still cant do shit. So really its your word against their word. and all you have to do is keep shut and play stupid.
You're fairly protected under the 5th amendment as far as snitching on a friend, so long as you don't get arrested. In Indiana once a minor is arrested, he has to sign off on his rights....or maybe jsut doesn't have them, I'm not sure. If you don't like it, don't not be friends with them, just ask them not to bring it around you. I've run my hustle from time to time, but I was always respectful for others privacy and safety.
If you're even considering this, I suggest you go hang yourself. I got caught with marijuana because a "friend" snitched on me. What I would do if I was back in your situation? I'd ask to go into business with him, it's good money...
That's probably the only sentence we will ever agree on. If a friend snitched on me and I was going to go to jail, I'd put him in the hospital while on bail. What's an extra year or two for exacting revenge? It'd get dropped for good behavior anyway.(the extra time I got, not the charge)
