ok, this hasnt happened to me , but i was thinking about it...would u consider it cheating if ur bf made out with another guy??? (or if your girlfriend made out with another girl??) just wondering...lol (it was actually my bf that started me thinking about this lol)
Assuming we had agreed to be exclusive, yes, I would consider it cheating. If it were an open relationship -- even if it were only open to same-sex partners -- then I would not consider it cheating. Since my boyfriend and I are a monogamous couple, I would react just as strongly if I caught him with a man as with another woman.
All depends on the relationship...but in general if it's just physical then no probably not, but if its emotional.....
I can't see where there is even a question. Why should it be different just because it's a same-sex dalliance? One would never ask, "Would you call it murder if your boyfriend killed another guy?" as though it's clearly murder if it were a girl, but ambiguous when it's another guy. Why would the gender of the person he killed have any bearing on it being murder? Likewise, why would the gender of a person your boyfriend fooled around with have any bearing on whether it was cheating? He's doing it with another person. That's all that matters. -Jeffrey
Yeah. If they go with someone other than you (and you two have a closed-relationship), it's cheating.
It depends how the kiss was intended. Some guys are more physically affectionate among friends (same way as with girls, it's just less common with the boys), so if it's just that, then no, it's not cheating. But otherwise, yes, it is. Find out why he did it. If it was just messing about, let it go. If not, is he bisexual? It's not necessarily an excuse in itself, but he may have only just found out, and the urge to experiment is hard to overcome. If he it turns out that he is a bi-lord, explain that it's not on, then exploit it to the fullest (MMF anyone ). PS If he was drunk none of this applies, and you KNOW it doesn't.
I'd say that, if it weren't for the fact that people define kissing people as cheating. Someone said that, if you cheat on someone while drunk, you're not properly in love with someone. I say: if you don't cheat on someone you're in love with, you're not properly drunk. Joking, kinda, but you know what I mean. I think kissing someone else while you're drunk is obviously different from fucking them, as generally it's a lot easier to do and takes less time. Drunkeness breaks down your inhibitions, and I don't know of anyone who is so secure in their relationship that they never think of cheating. For the record, I've never cheated, but then I've never got that drunk either.
Of course it's cheating. It doesn't matter the sex of the person someone is with, it's still cheating. And being drunk, that is the lamest excuse ever. There are never ANY excuses to cheat IMHO. When you love someone, you love someone. You should be able to control yourself enough to respect that love. Drunk, or not. Anyway. Peace, love, and happiness...
I understand that being intoxicated lowers your inhibitions, but in my opinion, all it really does is give you the "balls" to do something that you wanted to do anyway. People throw around the "oh, but I was drunk" excuse just because they don't want to own up to what they have done and are looking for a way out. Oh, and I have NEVER ONCE thought of cheating. Then again, I've got a few more years under my belt and I'm happily married. Peace, love, and happiness...
Yes it would be cheating... just because he's making out with someone of the same sex, does not mean that it's acceptable to go around kissing whoever... That's like saying it's OK to sleep with someone if your girlfriend is in another state. You need to ask yourself this question, if your boyfriend went around killing other guys behind your back, and you found out... how would you feel? Now there is nothing wrong with boys kissing boys (or girls kissing girls), and if you give him permission to do so, it's not cheating (although you want to be careful of that you don't get too jellous). UPDATE, but then it all depends on the type of kiss... Girls kiss each other all the time (to say hello, to say goodbye, etc..) and while guys don't, i'm sure if they wanted to, and it was nothing but a friendly kiss, then I don't see a problem with that.... it all comes back to how you would feel about it.
lol im so happy with all the ppl that would say it IS cheating lol see, my boyfriend didnt do it, we were just joking around the other night on the phone and hes like "hey, u no what i was wondering? if its considered cheating if ur other kisses someone of the same sex..." and i said what most of u said , that yes, it is if there is emotion behind it lol i just wanted to back up my opinion, so thanks guys!
well whats cheating and what isnt depends on the parameters and limitations you've set up as a couple as well as your expectations in eachother
Well put, I have tremendous respect for couples that can trust eachother so much as to let eachother mess around with others... I don't think I could handle that with somebody I truely loved..
And I say: if you can't keep yourself from cheating on someone while drunk, whether you love them or not, you shouldn't fucking be drinking. What a pathetic fucking excuse. Frankly, who wants some pathetic cheater who can't even accept responsibility for their actions? I have far more respect for those who accept responsibility for shattering their partner's trust than for those who try to place the blame elsewhere, in this case alcohol. As for the comments on the type of kiss, the original post was about making out, which, at least to me, implies more than just a just-friends peck type of kiss.
