Not much, unless your dog inhales the smoke very deeply and holds it in for a long time, which seems pretty unlikely to me.

how you gonna make it inhale and hold deeply for 20 seconds.

    anyway
    a dog is already
    a dog.

it does not need anything to get more goofy.

Hmm. I'm sure they have, but not normal magic mushrooms. They probably ate poisonous ones. A poison is a poison after all, and if magic mushrooms aren't poisonous to humans then they're certainly not poisonous to dogs. Dogs have very hardy constitutions. They eat all sorts of disgusting things and hardly ever get ill.

If it ate 10 fly agarics then i could see it getting sick.

Holy shit thats pretty scary, but in the name of science now we know what happens!

"theotherpath you're very misinformed, the reaso you "trip" on "magic" mushrooms is because they're "poisoning" you."

Yeah but in the same way coffee and pharmacuticles poison you, all mushrooms do is change the chemicals and receptors in your brain nothing terrible.

Also whats the deal with dog dieing from eating mushrooms?

It's not kosher to dose people unsuspectingly; same goes for animals. They can't be "talked down" if they have a bad trip (and how would you ever know with a fish?) - it's just fucking cruel and stupid.

and i dident do it to be mean or in the name of science i did it because the stupid cat fish would just sit in his corner and stare at the tank wall all day and i thought i would help him get some excitement and i completly forgot about those baby gold fish that started pounding their heads

    How do you know?

Back to original topic...I have never heard of a dog dying from eating psilocybes but I am not going to rule it out. I actually knew a couple of dogs in my life that would eat them if they were left lying around. Those dogs were fine and lived long happy lives.

I don't know how you can say this, unless you have a very loose definition of poisoning. A poison is a substanse which causes physical harm to the body, mushrooms in no way do this. Psilocybin makes you trip because it is a 5-HT2a
agonist, just like many other tryptamines. I do agree that it could be toxic to dogs though.

Incorrect. The active chemicals Psilocybin, Psilocin, or Baeocystin get you the 'high', while mushrooms can also contain muscarine, mycoatropine, muscimol, and ibotenic acid that are poisons and can be fatal at certain doses!

The poisons CAN cause hallucinations, and delerium but its not true that all posions become hallucingenic.

    Any more questions?
