Not so, just imagine the possiblities... We all want words of reassurance from others, or feeback and validation. Those who believe in God/s would find great comfort in hearing a positive assurance.
I don't need any messages of comfort and hope =/ and not getting any reassurance or whatnot is prolly just abotu all the drive I have...

I was reading Hindu scriptures for a few years. What you find there is not anywhere else, for instance they have exactly 28 hells, and these are.....planets, yes, planets, and we're talking books written 400 year Bc. each planet is for specific torments, not just fire and brimstone, in fact I didn't see that in there at all. In one of those planets the surface is made of copper and the ones there sit sometimes, and other times they are on their feet, trying to relive their pain. In other planets animals torture the people that inflicted pain on them. Hey, I just tell it like I read it.
ive read the majabarata ....and as you say the story is busy , and there are multiple versions of charecters n things -places . themes within alter varaitions of same theme....[kinna like string theory of theology-literature ] anyway , we used to go to hindi moviessomewhere at the end of the red line after harv sq .....krishna was cool and i think indian girls are hot ....bolywood starlets are pretty .
Correction.... 4000 Bc. Vyasadeva passes the knowledge to his son, and later he recites it to a crowd of sages and to Pariksit. Yes I have read a bit of the Mahabarata and wanted to get in DVDs, but it's too expensive. Juts want a complete version of it to know the story from beginning to end. I do have the Bhagavatam in book form which is about 12 volumes.
Not sure what this has to do with ethics... but I can't think of anything I'd rather hear from God than assurance of an afterlife of some kind. Imminent non-existance is something I have a tough time dealing with
What I would wanna hear is that I have fulfilled the mission for which I came, and that this is my last life here.
