It' bit of a 'Horses for Courses' I have found/find -"Health and Safety/Protocol says I have to wear shoes to work - so I do ... and then put Crocs on :)
"Wet/Cold 'Winter' wear = trainer boots - but Home and Garden and Summer, I strip off ;)

I have 4 pairs of shoes (excessive, I know.) flip flops, closed toe slip on shoes, tennis shoes, and hiking boots.

They all give me blisters and make my back hurt. :( I usually only wear the slip ons, and only when I absolutely have to.

The only things I wear on my feet are sandals.

Close toed sandals usually, the kind that feel like nearly nothing underneath, almost year round except for when we have snow for a couple months. It's not a lot of snow but your feet get wet. I hate my feet getting wet in colder temps.
In the house socks. I like crocs but not usually the traditional style, I have many that look like a hiking show and many other styles as well as knock offs which to me are just as good as crocs. Any shows I have are usually flat as flat can be.

I've got a pair and like them a lot! They're almost like going barefoot... almost. The sole is 6mm thick and yes, you can still feel stones, twigs, etc. Someone here mentioned that they're like 'glorified flip-flops' and yeah, I can see that. That's ok with me... I still like them!

I've also recently purchased a pair of Amuri Ventures, with a 6mm sole. You do still feel a lot underfoot but I have to say that I'm struggling with then.

The toe post on the right foot seems to pull, creating discomfort in the arch, no matter how much I play around with the various tensioning straps of the sandal.

Consequently, I've returned between alternating between barefoot and wearing a pair of thin soled Havaianas.

These, pretty close to the comfort of being barefoot.

I wear black dress shoes in case I have to attend business meetings or go on business trips, and flip flops in our office buildings. I'm always barefoot in my room and at my desk though, no shoes are the best shoes anyway.

5.11 tacticals at work. Not necessarily the most comfortable, but I wo want to roll up on an accident in my bare feet. Other than that, I keep a pair of flip flops in my car for when I get kicked out of businesses.

No wearable shoes at the moment, so I have to be barefoot always. :)
