What to do with the goo? (real question)

Hello All--

This is my first post to this forum--great place! I did take the time to read through the tek that was stickied and some other postings but I can't find an answer to my question.

Somewhere I swear I read that the goo you are left with after a methanol or ethanol extraction of powdered peruvian torch is actual "free base" mescaline. I am not a chemistry major (about as far from it actually, albeit at the grad level) so please forgive if I am mistaken. I also thought I read that you could add citric acid to this goo if you wanted to truly powder your extraction, making a mescaline salt.

Is this true? My alcohol extraction is nearly done so if someone could help me I would greatly appreaciate it! Feel free to PM me too. I'll be checking back frequently.

The result of an alcohol extraction is a mix of plant fats, plant waxes, and metabolic elements (chlorophyll). A black (dark green) sticky, tarry, oily mass. The extracted alkaloids, including mescaline are contained in this suspension. You need do nothing more except consume this oily residue in capsules, or tissue or just wash down with cranberry juice. Nothing more is necessary.

 

My plan was to put the goo into capsules. The only thing my tek didn't provide was accurate dosing. Ratio of mg goo: mg mescaline. Thanks for your help.

I guess I thought the cirtric acid step would leave me with direct mescaline somehow, but I realize that I'd have to do a whole A/B extraction for that.

 

don;t use any mesc extract that leave you needing to eat anything but pure mesc, the only thing that makes mesc anything but straight forward is the defat and that's not hard. Start by reading about "acid base" extractions, and "defats", and you'll have everything you need to produce pure dry mescaline you can add to gelatine capsules with an accurate dose.

The mescaline content of a cactus is hugely variable, depending on how and where it was grown. Unless you take it out and measure it you have no idea what you are taking.

Extracts are so easy, you can do it easily with a glass demijohn and a water bottle. Just takes a little research. Shout if you need any help. Just don't get emulsified, gentle and slow always, rushing will ruin your procedure.

 

thats hogwash. no extraction tek leaves you with 99% mescaline. The A/B extract even washed with acetone or cold MEK leaves behind some other bands than mescaline when analyzed by GC/MS (phlux on the nexus has tested this).

The alcohol extracts work fine. Although you have no idea what ratio of alkaloids you are taking 50 grams dried of your standard internet quality p.torch will never be enough to physically harm you. If you are lucky you just might feel amazing.
